Wu Cheng is from Suzhou, Jiangsu Province. At the beginning of the founding of the Communist Party of China, he was a member of the party. During the Yan'an period, he served as Chairman Mao's head of the receiving and sending section, and served as the party's Seventh Congress venue guard. After the founding of the people's Republic of China, he served as secretary of the Songhuajiang prefectural committee of the CPC, procurator general of the people's Procuratorate of Heilongjiang Province, vice chairman of the fourth CPPCC and deputy director of the Standing Committee of the Fifth National People's Congress of Heilongjiang Province. He is a member of the fifth CPPCC National Committee.

Early revolutionary experience
In July 1924, he participated in the revolution in Shanghai. He successively served as vice president of the trade union, leader of the picket team, Secretary of the Party branch, worker of Shenxin No.9 factory and Toyota yarn factory, and organization work of Jiangbei Ruquan handicraft trade union. In December 1929, he was the platoon leader of the secret service company of the second regiment of the 14th army of the Red Army. In October 1930, he was the president of Dongbao trade union of Shanghai Huxi Shenxin No.1 Factory. In May 1932, he went to Lenin school in Moscow of the Soviet Union to study. After returning to China in December 1934, he was in charge of the party's Secret transportation work in Xinjiang.
the period of Counter-Japanese War
In May 1938, he returned from Hong Kong to Yan'an and served as the vice captain of team 27 of Shanbei public school. In August of the same year, he studied in the second training class of the Ministry of social affairs of the CPC Central Committee, and then worked in Yan'an military station. Served as deputy section chief of cadre section of Yan'an workers' school and worked in the working group of Yan'an workers' committee. After October 1939, he served as the confidential traffic officer of the second room of the Ministry of social affairs of the CPC Central Committee, the traffic officer and section chief of the secret traffic section from Yan'an to Xi'an, and the field chief of the social farm of the CPC Central Committee. He also served as Chairman Mao's receiving and sending section chief in Yan'an, and served as the security guard of the party's Seventh Congress. After studying in the Fourth Department of the Central Party school, he left Yan'an in August 1945 and went to central China to serve as the vice captain of the third division of the brigade led by He Wei.
During the war of Liberation
In January 1946, he came to the northeast and served as the director of the Intelligence Department of the brigade earth Committee and the deputy director of the Dalian intelligence department.
After the founding of the people's Republic of China
He served as deputy director of the Tianjin Liaison Bureau of the Liaison Department of the CMC in January 1950 and director of the sixth Bureau of the central investigation department in April 1955. In 1958, he was sent to Heilongjiang as secretary and Commissioner of Songhuajiang prefectural Party committee. In January 1964, he was appointed Procurator General of Provincial People's Procuratorate. After 1966, he was head of social education of Nenjiang reform through labor farm and deputy director of the reform committee of Fenghuangshan farm. Deputy director of the office of the provincial Commission of reform, acting chief procurator of the provincial Procuratorate in June 1978, was elected vice chairman of the provincial CPPCC in September 1977, and vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the provincial people's Congress in December 1979. He was elected member of the second, third and fourth provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China. He died in Harbin in 1991.
Social evaluation
He was an old comrade who took part in the revolution earlier in the early days of the founding of the party, and also one of the earliest veterans who took part in the revolution in our province. In the long-term revolutionary struggle, he has gone through all kinds of difficulties and trials of war and made certain contributions to the party and the people. He has a firm stand, loyal to the party, a strong sense of organization, and is hardworking. In 1950, the general intelligence department of the CMC made a great contribution to him for his outstanding achievements in international liaison work.
