Wu Qi (1619-1694) was a CI poet in Qing Dynasty. He was born in Jiangdu (now Yangzhou, Jiangsu Province). He was named yuanci, Fengnan, Qiyuan and tingweng. In the 11th year of Shunzhi (1645), Gongsheng was recommended as a scholar of Hongwen Academy. He was promoted to the chief of the Ministry of war and the member of the military election department, wailang. He was also the prefect of Huzhou. He was known as the "three wind prefect" at that time for his multi wind power, advocating wind Festival and Rao Fengya. Later, he lost his official position and never became an official again.
In Wu Qi's Ci, Xiao Ling mostly describes romantic love with beautiful style and narrow theme. For example, in "spring boudoir" written by [drunken flower room], "think about the time, remember the time, and make it together with spring. Wine to east wind, double red beans. It is widely spread because it is known as "Hongdou CI poet". His two poems, Yougan (huanxisha), "Nanpu light smoke dipped in the blue wave" and "Wuyuan moss lock Gallery", are also considered as the works of "containing desolation and ancient simplicity, but being worthy of living". Long tunes, such as "Manjianghong", "Yuefen ciwumu Yuanyun", "Jinshan" and "Qinyuanchun", "Shuhuai", have higher artistic conception and style. Wu Qi was also able to imitate Xu Ling and Yu Xin in his poems. His parallel literature, Li Shangyin, was more famous than his poems. He also wrote three kinds of Legends: Zhongmin Ji, xiaoqiufeng and xiupingyuan, which were mostly orchestrated at that time but have no existence today. His works include 26 volumes of linhuitang collection, Kangxi edition and Qianlong edition.
