Wu Ying
Wu Ying: researcher, State Key Laboratory of brain and cognitive science, Institute of Biophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He is the leader of innovation research group and senior consultant researcher of Institute of Biophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
The main research direction is to reveal the molecular mechanism of gene regulation involved in neurodevelopment and neurodegenerative diseases.

Since 1994, he has been assistant professor in Department of Pediatrics and Department of molecular biology and pharmacology of University of Washington, and doctoral supervisor in molecular genetics, molecular cell biology, developmental biology and other disciplines. Since 1998, he has also been a professor in Shanghai Medical University. Since 2001, he has participated in the teaching of postgraduate course of molecular biology in Shanghai Institute of life sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He was also awarded the National Institutes of health, the Alzheimer's foundation, the Medical Research Council of Canada, and the telethon foundation of Italy. He participated in biochemistry teaching at Harvard University, nucleic acid and protein, cell biology Doctoral Course Teaching at the University of Washington, and made academic reports at Cambridge, Harvard, University of Pennsylvania, Brown University, etc. he is currently professor of Northwestern University, Professor of Yangtze River, Tsinghua University, and researcher of Institute of Biophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Wu Ying is famous for studying the molecular biology of RNA splicing. He was awarded the category B of "National Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars" by National Natural Science Foundation of China.
