Lu Ying is from Jinling (now Nanjing). Born in an unknown year, he died around the fourth year of Taiping Xingguo (979) in Northern Song Dynasty. Bingyin (the fourth year of Qiande in Song Dynasty, ad 966) or the number one scholar in the fifth year of Qiande in Southern Tang Dynasty.
Lu Ying is good at writing, brave and good at playing the iron flute. During the reign of Qiande, Lu Ying and the bully Han deba met in a narrow way. Lu Ying did not evade, and Han de ordered him to arrest him. Lu Ying knocked down more than ten people and threw Han deba under the horse, injuring his face. Han deba sued Yu Houzhu, but he was dismissed, which made Lu Ying famous. The next year, he was promoted to the top of the list. Xu Xuan, Lu Ying's brother-in-law, was asked to write an article, but it failed for several days. Lu Ying's dictation makes people record it in one move. Xu Xuanjin presented it, and later the master said to him, "the language is elegant and handsome, but it seems that it is not Qing's work.". Since then, Lu Ying's literary name has been greatly improved. After promotion, I'll be the host. After the establishment of the Song Dynasty, Lu Ying entered the Song Dynasty and served as governor of the whole Prefecture. He died as governor of the prefecture. Lu Ying's poems are included in the whole Tang poetry.
