Lu ruotang (1598-1664), a native of xiangfengli (now Jinmen county), lived in Jinjiang. Chongzhen 13 years (1640) Jinshi, head of the military department. He was transferred to Ningbo to patrol the sea. He lived in Ningbo to clean himself and benefit the people, eliminate the evils, suppress the power, arrest the thieves, and make the people secure. He also served as governor of Fengyang. After the Jiashen revolution, he crossed the sea with Shen Quanqi and Xu Jifan and lived in seclusion in Taiwan. Li Jie died at the age of 66. He has 40 volumes of Fang Yu Tu Kao and 1 volume of supplement. In addition, he also wrote 7 volumes of Liuzhai anthology, 2 volumes of daoju Suilu, Wuzhou jielie biography, daoe poetry anthology, essays of yugengtang, daoshan leiju Zuji, yinpu, etc.
Life of the characters
Lu ruotang was born in Jinmen xiancuo, Tongan County, Fujian Province in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties. He was born in 1598 (the 28th year of Wanli reign of Shenzong of Ming Dynasty). He was born in 1636 (the 9th year of Chongzhen of Ming Dynasty). He was a Jinshi in the 13th year of Chongzhen of Ming Dynasty. He was the head of the Ministry of war. He had both literary talent and military strategy. He is forthright, regardless of personal safety gains and losses, dare to impeach the court officials who violate the law and discipline, corruption and dereliction of duty, awe the court and the field.
At the end of Ming Dynasty, the government was in a precarious situation because of political corruption. He and his ministers Huang Daozhou, Shen Fang, Shen Quanqi, etc., always encouraged each other with integrity, did not participate in the struggle for power and profit, but were proud of private affairs. At that time, Yang Sichang, a cabinet minister, was in charge of Hu Guang. He didn't attach importance to state affairs, neglected his duty, indulged in Buddhist rites and chanting sutras, and spent a lot of money. If tengshang Shu detailed the crime of Chen Yang Sichang, he forced the emperor to withdraw his official post. Soon after, he was promoted to the rank of Wu xuansi's doctor. He impeached Jiang Weilu, Marquis of the west, three times. As a result, he offended the powerful officials and was demoted to the rank of Zhejiang's chief envoy. Later, he was transferred to other redundant posts such as Ningbo and Shaoxing's Sea Patrol. However, he always attached great importance to state affairs and did not fear the pressure of powerful officials. He once again impeached his inner minister Tian Guoxing for taking advantage of his power to take over cargo ships, abusing his husband, insulting state and county officials, blocking the gate traffic and other crimes. Tian Guoxing was finally punished.
During his tenure in Zhejiang Province, Lu ruotang was concerned about the sufferings of the people, promoted the advantages and eliminated the disadvantages, eradicated the local powerful forces, and pacified the bandits Hu Chenglong and other harassment, so that the people could live and work in peace and contentment, known as "Lu Bodhisattva". In memory of his achievements, a memorial temple was built after he left office.
Zhu Yousong, the Fuwang of the Southern Ming Dynasty, ascended to the throne of Nanjing and promoted him to governor of Fengyang. He was dissatisfied with Ma Shiying and Ruan Dacheng's control of the government, so he declined to take office. In the summer of 1645, the Qing army captured Nanjing. Zhu Yujian, the king of the Tang Dynasty, was established in Fuzhou and was appointed governor of eastern Zhejiang. He was stationed in Wenzhou and supervised the northern expedition. At that time, there was a great famine in Wenzhou. He took the lead in donating money for relief, got the support of all parties, won the praise of emperor Longwu and the title of minister of the Ministry of war.
Emperor Longwu appointed Zheng Zhilong as the Marquis of Pinglu, who was in charge of military power. Huang Daozhou, a bachelor, asked to lead his troops out of Jiangxi Province when he saw the Qing soldiers driving straight in. He expressed his deep sympathy for this and repeated his letter to encourage him. Later, Dao Zhou was defeated and killed. The Qing army attacked Shaoxing and forced Wenzhou. He and he Junyao stuck to Pingyang, but they ran out of ammunition and food. When the city was broken, he personally led his troops to fight in the streets. He was rescued by jinghaihai division and escaped into the river. Shangshu pleaded guilty. Qing soldiers from Zhejiang to Fujian, the situation changed dramatically, he mixed grief, diving suicide, and was rescued. Zheng Hongkui, the Marquis of Dinglu, heard the news and recruited him to Fujian. Soon after, he sneaked into Zhejiang, organized volunteers again, and was welcomed by Ningbo's parents. Finally, he returned to Fujian because of the general situation.
In the first year of Yongli (the fourth year of Shunzhi and 1647) of the Southern Ming Dynasty, Zheng Chenggong held high the banner of resistance to the Qing Dynasty in Anping town (now Anhai). He joined Ye Yiyun, Chen Ding and others in Anping town to join Zheng Chenggong. He was highly valued by Zheng Chenggong, "military and national affairs, consult and follow up.". In 1662, Zheng Chenggong expelled the Dutch colonists and recovered Taiwan. After hearing the news, he sailed from Tongshan (Dongshan) to Penghu and died of illness.
Literary achievements
He has a lot of knowledge and works, ranging from astronomy and geography to insects, fish, flowers and plants. His main works are Liuan Wenji, fangyutukao, Wuzhou jielie Zhuan, GengTang essays, daoe collection, daoju Suilu, daoxianju Zuji, yinpu, etc., but most of them have been lost, only daoe collection has been published.
Posterity evaluation
He is loyal, kind and loving. He is deeply loved by the people, so he is called "Lu Bodhisattva". Lu's family name can be said to be a big one in xiancuo. Today, his descendants have passed on to the fourteenth generation and still live in his former residence. The main house of Lu's former residence is horseback style, which belongs to the traditional architecture of Golden Gate with four beech heads. The former residence is also called "Liuan former residence".
