Huang Yanhui was born in Putian of Southern Song Dynasty. In 1121 (the third year of Xuanhe), he was a Jinshi. In Shaoxing, he was the magistrate of Tongan county.

Huang Yanhui was born in Putian of Southern Song Dynasty. In 1121 (the third year of Xuanhe), he was a Jinshi. In Shaoxing, he was the magistrate of Tongan county. At that time, bandits were rampant. He built the city wall, surrounded by six li, and eliminated all kinds of abuses. He made a standard fight for grain, which made it impossible for his men to embezzle. Later, the official of Chaozhou was sentenced to death. His deeds were recorded in Tongan county annals (Republic of China).
