He advocated the sharing of academic resources and put these language resources on the Internet for the public to search. At the same time, he established two online language learning websites, namely "search for words" and "search for treasure in Wenguo". He first advocated the research of automatic extraction of language knowledge from Chinese corpora. In 1996, he published the national language daily volume dictionary, which is the first Chinese dictionary based on Corpora in the world. He has published more than 70 journals or monographs, more than 280 conference papers and edited 15 monographs or journal numbers in the fields of Chinese linguistics, computational linguistics and corpus linguistics.
