Kuiyu
Kuiyu (1797-1877), whose name is Shi Ruo, belongs to the Fucha family. He was born in Manchuria with a red flag. His ancestors were stationed in Jingzhou. Kui was born in the east of Jingzhou, Jiangling County. When I was young, I learned to read poetry and practice martial arts. A little longer, he joined the army with ER Pinyin, and later was promoted to the vice capital of Liangzhou by the red flag Association.
Life story
In the winter of 1853, he led the troops together with Zeng Guofan's troops to intercept the Taiping Army in Xinzhou and Yangxin, and then dealt with military affairs in Hubei. He led the army to suppress the peasant army in four places, and successively recovered more than 10 counties and prefectures in Wuhan, Mianyang, Hanchuan, Huangzhou, Qishui, etc. In 1855, the Taiping army once entered the west of Hubei Province. Emperor Xianfeng ordered Kuiyu to appoint the right-wing deputy Dutong of Jingzhou to intercept the Taiping Army in the area of Hanshui River. In May, he was transferred to vice governor of Jiangning. He led the army to xiaoshuiguan in Tianjing (Jinling) and confronted with Li Xiucheng of Taiping army for four years. In 1858, he took charge of general Jiangning and led the Qing army to fight against Chen Yucheng and Li Xiucheng, threatening Tianjing. In 1861, he served as Zhenjiang's military assistant, and organized "foreign spear team" and "ever victorious army" to attack Taiping Army in collusion with Britain and France. In 1864, he captured Danyang, opened the door to Tianjing, and got the name of baturon ABALU. At the beginning of June, he and Zeng Guofan, Li Hongzhang and Zuo Zongtang captured Tianjing and rewarded yunqi for his duty. In December, it was transferred to the vice capital of Jingkou. In May of the next year, he was promoted to general Jiangning and worked with Zeng Guofan and Li Hongzhang to deal with the aftermath of the Su Chang Taiping Army in Jinling. In 1868, he went to Beijing for a pilgrimage. In 1870, he was the governor of the two rivers and Minister of Nanyang trade. He dealt with foreign affairs and set up military enterprises in Shanghai, Zhejiang, Fuzhou and other coastal areas, as well as in Jiangsu, Jiangxi, Anhui, Hubei and other provinces along the Yangtze River. In 1871, he served as general of Chengdu and went to the southwest to suppress the uprising of ethnic minorities. In 1877, the old wound recurred, and he returned to live in Jiangling. In the same year, he died of illness and was awarded general Jianwei. There is "Cui Yun Guan Shi" in print.
