Rao Yannian, named Boyong and zhiweng, was a scholar of Song Dynasty in China and a disciple of Lu Jiuyuan in Jiangxi Province. Lu Jiuyuan praised him for his broad mind.

He is well-known for his study of Confucian classics. He lives in seclusion but is not an official. He despises money and is good at righteousness.
