Yan Jun

Yan Jun, male, experimental musician. Mainly engaged in impromptu music, experimental electronic music, field recording and sound art. Also engaged in poetry and essay writing. He is the founder of the sub jam brand.

Life experience

Now I live in Beijing.

He used to be an active music critic, mainly writing comments, reports and reviews on Chinese underground rock. From the middle and late 1990s to the early 21st century, he participated in the development of underground rock through planning and comments. After 2008, he stopped writing music reviews.

Music creation started in 2004. Besides solo and improvisation, he is also a member of Fen and Dr. Cha Quintet.
