In recent years, he has presided over the investigation and evaluation of the regional metallogenic potential of metal minerals in Northwest China, edited and published the monograph "prospecting potential of mineral resources in Northwest China", and put forward the recognition of nine major breakthrough areas in prospecting and exploration in Northwest China, which has exerted an important influence in the field of mineral exploration and research. Meanwhile, we have actively carried out the research on the metallogenic geological structure environment and prospecting prediction of the dominant mineral deposits in important metallogenic belts such as the Qilian Mountains. The authors suggest that the Jinchuan super magmatic copper nickel deposit is the product of the Proterozoic large-scale tectonic magmatic event in the western part of Chinese mainland, and is a response to the early supermantle plume. Based on the results of supercontinent breakup, it is pointed out that there is a potential to search for Jinchuan type magmatic Cu Ni sulfide deposits in the residual microcontinent in the Qilian orogenic belt, which has attracted the attention of all parties.
