His original name is Wenwan, and his name is bifen. He was born in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province, and is Gu Zhenguan's sister.
Gu Zhenli's year of birth and death is unknown. He lived around the 14th year of Emperor Kangxi. He married the Duke of Jin in the same city. His husband was mediocre and incompetent, and he didn't pass the imperial examination. His family was poor, so he relied on Gu Zhenli to make needlework for a living. His poems are always in harmony with Wang Lang. Zhenli wrote two volumes of Ci Poetry of qixiangge, in which there are four pieces of Sanqu, which are well-known throughout the world. In the middle age, he was depressed, in the late age, poor and sick, and his style of CI became desolate and melancholy. He is the author of two volumes: the collection of dining Xiazi and the Ci of qixiangge.
