Gu yourong, the author of Baidu Encyclopedia.

He graduated from Sichuan University with a bachelor's degree in biology, then went to Yunnan Agricultural University for a master's degree in herbalism, and then went to South China Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences for a doctor's degree in botany. After graduation, he studied botany in Qinghai and Tibet. Doctor of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He is now teaching in the school of life sciences, Capital Normal University.

Personal experience

Mr. Gu, who lived in Jianghan Oilfield in Hubei Province since childhood, accompanied with all kinds of plants in the countryside. Since then, he has been full of curiosity about plants and lost control of them. Finally, his hobby has become a lifelong career. He has been pursuing further studies in botany all the way and has obtained a doctor's degree in botany from the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Now he is also an associate professor in Capital Normal University and engaged in teaching botany Research work.

Science Communication

With his professional development, he began his career of science popularization. From "wild" science popularization to writing articles, to shooting videos and doing live broadcasting, he has been trying more diversified ways of science popularization. In 2020, Gu yourong will become the contracted author of Baidu Encyclopedia and launch the exclusive popular science column "plant care".
