Liu Yi, male, Han nationality, is the grandson of Liu Ji, Emperor Zhang of the Han Dynasty, the son of Liu Kai, Emperor Xiaowang of Hejian, the father of Liu Zhi, Emperor Huan of the Han Dynasty, and the patriarchal clan and Prince of the Eastern Han Dynasty. Liu Yi died and his son, Liu zhisi, took the throne.
In 146, after the death of emperor Hanzhi, General Liang Ji established Liu Zhi as emperor Huan. Empress Dowager Liang ordered Liu Kai, king of filial piety in Hejian, to be emperor of filial piety and mu. His wife, Zhao, called empress of filial piety and mu. The temple was called Qingmiao, and the mausoleum was called lechengling. Liu Yi, the first Marquis of Liwu, said

Life of the characters
Liu Yi, male, Han nationality, is the grandson of Liu Ji, Emperor Zhang of Han Dynasty, and the son of Liu Kai, king of filial piety in Hejian. In the sixth year of the Yuan Dynasty (119), the Empress Dowager Deng Sui recruited Liu Shou, king of the north of Ji'an, and Liu Kai, king of Hejian, to the capital. He was surprised by Liu Yi's beautiful appearance, so he was made the heir of Liu Sheng, the eldest son of Liu Zhao, emperor of Han he. Liu Yi then stayed in the capital. In the first year of Yongning (120th year), Empress Dowager Deng granted Liu Yi the title of king of the plain and worshipped Liu Sheng. In the second year of Yongning (121), Empress Dowager Deng died. Wang Sheng, the nursing mother of Liu Hu, Emperor Han'an, and Jiang Jing, the assistant of Zhongchang, framed Deng's brother and Liu Yi, saying that they were plotting against Zhao, the Chinese doctor, and coveted the throne. Emperor Han'an demoted Liu Yi as the Marquis of Duxiang and sent him back to Hejian. Liu Yi declined the guests and closed the door. In the fifth year of Yongjian (130), Liu Yi's father, Liu Kai, wrote that he would divide Liwu county to his son, Liu Yi. Liu Bao, Emperor Shun of the Han Dynasty, agreed that Liu Yi would be Marquis of Liwu. In the second year of Jianhe (148), Emperor Huan of Han Dynasty granted Liu Shuo, Marquis of DIDU Township, the king of Pingyuan. He stayed in Boling and served as empress of his father Liu Yi. Liu Yi's wife Ma Shi is respected as a noble person of xiaochongbo garden. After Liu Yi died, his son Liu Zhi inherited the title of marquis Liwu. In the first year of Benchu (146), Liu Zan, the emperor of Han Dynasty, was killed. The Empress Dowager Liang Dan and the General Liang Ji established Liu Zhi as emperor, which is the emperor Huan of Han Dynasty. Empress Dowager Liang issued an imperial edict to honor Liu Yi as emperor of filial piety. The temple was called liemiao and the mausoleum was called Boling. The order and Cheng were set up, and situ was appointed to hold the festival, to serve the book of policy and the seal, and to sacrifice with Tailao. In the second year of Jianhe, Liu Shuo, the son of Liu Yi and the Marquis of Di Du township of emperor Huan of Han Dynasty, was renamed king of the plain. He stayed in Boling to worship Liu Yi.
