Liu Chengzhi

At that time, master Huiyuan lived in the Donglin Temple of Lushan Mountain, practicing samadhi, so Liu Chengzhi went to Yizhi. Master Huiyuan said, "the official salary is very prominent. Why don't you do it?" Liu Chengzhi said: "the Jin Dynasty is not as solid as a rock, but sentient beings are in danger of being exhausted. Why should I become an official?" Liu Yu, the emperor of Liu Song Dynasty in the Southern Dynasty, called Liu Chengzhi a "adherent" because he did not yield to the official salary, in praise of his noble virtue. "Now that we understand the reason for the change of fate, the signs of life and death in the future are obvious. Understand the three ways of bad news in the rush to destroy each other, know the danger is difficult, evil interest is difficult to extricate. This is the reason why the sages, who are always diligent in the morning and alert at night, want to have relief.
And the so-called incredible realm can only be achieved by feeling, not by image. If you can feel the real things, then even though it is a secluded road is close at hand. If we seek something that has no reality, we will have no goal. Today, I am lucky to be able to get the feeling without planning, and return to the Western Paradise. The composition is in length, to show our true confidence, and to show our feelings between heaven and earth. So these signs of opportunity are connected with sleep and dream, so that more than 100 sages come to practice together, which is a joyful thing in the heart. The sages gather like clouds to show their brightness, and all of them are in the same shape as if they were made in heaven. Only if the achievements are reasonable can they be harmonious. This kind of extraordinary thing can not be achieved only by manpower. It's the heaven and earth's sincere and secret help that makes all the sages gather together
However, people's backgrounds and virtues are different, and their merits and virtues are also different. In the morning, everyone prays for the same goal of living in a pure land, but in the evening, their hearts are different, even for the relatives of my fellow teachers. This is really sad. Therefore, he was so excited that he ordered the public to tidy up their clothes and go to the Dharma hall, so that they could work together and place their hearts in the incredible place (the pure land of the West). Vow that those who practice together with them will be able to travel to the land of bliss. And those who are outstanding and the first to live in the pure land, please don't travel alone in the high clouds, and forget to take care of those who are still drowning in the deep valley.
The wonderful appearance of Amitabha opens our hearts and makes them have the function of real illumination. The confused and ignorant delusion is enlightened by sincerity, and the heavy body shape is changed into the wonderful body of lotus blossom. Relying on the lotus flower, I admire amitabha in the shade of qibaoxing tree. Flying between the vast heaven and the earth, and floating like clouds of soft clothes; in the breeze accompanied by flowers, but also forget the time and years. He pointed to the pool water and said, "this is the water of eight virtues. You can drink it." Liu Chengzhi then drank the water and felt very sweet. After waking up, the fragrance comes out from the pores. Then he said to others, "I have come to the pure land."
So the monks were invited to recite the Lotus Sutra, nearly hundreds of them. Liu Chengzhi burned incense on the statue of Buddha, worshipped and prayed again and again, saying: "because of the teachings of Sakyamuni Buddha, I know that there is Amitabha Buddha in the Western Paradise, and this incense should first support Sakyamuni Buddha.
