Liu Wei, born in Jinhua, Wuzhou (now Jinhua, Zhejiang Province), is a native of Qing Dynasty. The year of birth and death is unknown.

In 1220, the 13th year of Jiading reign of emperor ningzong of Song Dynasty, he became the number one scholar of gengchenke. After Liu Weizhong became the number one scholar, he was granted a special supplementary chengshilang and signed a letter to Jiankang army's thrifty judge.
