Liu Zhenmei (1916-1949), male, from Naxi, Sichuan Province, was born into a merchant landlord family and a revolutionary martyr.
Life of the characters
Martyr Liu Zhenmei, also known as Jimin. He was born in Huguo Town, Naxi county. Since childhood, he loved literature and art very much. When he was young, he had the wish of "glorifying the motherland, splashing snow and national humiliation". After graduating from huguozhen primary school, he was forced by his father to drop out of school and engage in business. He left for Chengdu in 1930. With the help of relatives and friends, he studied in Chengdu United county middle school, Xuzhou United County provincial middle school and Chengdu University experimental middle school. Later, due to the funding cut off, once wandering the streets. With the help of relatives and friends, he went to Peking in 1935 and worked as an auditor at Tsinghua University. During the "129" student movement, he took part in the patriotic struggle against Japan and Chiang Kai Shek and was arrested by the reactionary authorities. After suffering in prison, he was rescued from prison. In 1936, he returned to Sichuan, engaged in progressive cultural propaganda activities, and wrote many poems, novels, dramas, literary criticism and other works full of patriotic enthusiasm and revolutionary spirit. After Lu Xun's death, he actively published the special issue commemorating Lu Xun's death to commemorate his dedication to the new culture movement with literature as a weapon. In September of the same year, the Chaolu literature and art society was founded in Luxian County, the Zhuanlu reading club was organized, and the new culture publicity activities were carried out. In 1938, when he was the principal of Xuyong primary school, he founded United weekly to publicize national salvation and anti Japanese national united front. In October 1939, he was admitted to the Sichuan Provincial drama education experimental school. Soon after, he founded the monthly magazine drama education and served as the chairman of the editorial board. In the summer of 1940, he served as a drama director in the Political Department of the 95th army of the Kuomintang. Later, he served as the deputy head and director of Ningyuan opera company and engaged in progressive drama performance activities in remote areas. Because of his character and ambition, he left his job angrily and went to teach in Xichang middle school and normal school. During this period, he was arrested by the reactionary authorities for fighting against the youth party. After being released on bail in 1942, he worked in Luxian normal school, commercial vocational school and sports college. In 1945, he came to Jiang'an as a lecturer of national drama school and a teacher of provincial Jiang'an middle school. In 1946, he joined the "Youth Association" under the leadership of the underground organization of the Communist Party of China and served as the editor in chief of "youth for protecting the country". He was recognized as the leader of the cultural movement in southern Sichuan by the Kuomintang secret service. In 1946, Huamei bookstore was organized in Chongqing to publicize revolutionary ideas. Chairman Mao Zedong flew to Chongqing for negotiations. He sang praises: "the sun has appeared, and the light is coming.". In March 1947, on the way back to Xuyong from Luxian County, he was arrested by the spy on the charge of "Communist Party member". In prison, he suffered all kinds of torture and was threatened to be buried alive. He was righteous and would rather die than surrender. In August 1948, after being transferred to zhazidong, Chongqing, he accepted the leadership of the party and secretly participated in the "iron window Poetry Society" founded in prison. He fought with poetry, denounced the single husband and the bandits, praised the Communist Party of China, encouraged the poor friends to persist in the struggle and welcome the victory.
