Liu Tingnan (June 12, 1753 - September 8, 1820), whose name is rangmu, is called Yungang. His residence is jingliantang. He was born in Xianxian County, Hebei Province. During the reign of Emperor Qianlong, he was the magistrate of Jieyang county.

Life of the characters

Liu Tingnan (1753-1820) was the father of the Confucian scholar Liu shunian. Liu Tingnan was born in Shandong on May 11, 1753. The next year (1754), he went to Linqing with his father. In 1757, Liu Tingnan was five years old. He read and recited Tang poetry with his father. In 1777 and 1779, two local examinations were held. Qianlong 45 years (1780) in the election.

Qianlong 46 years (1781) will try not the first. Forty nine years (1784) should be examination, has not yet the first. Fifty two years (1787) in the Jinshi.

In June of 1797, Xinyi County, Gaozhou Prefecture, Guangdong Province was selected. In September, I went to Guangdong with my family. Three years (1798) to the province of Xinyi county magistrate. Five years ago, he Yuan County, Huizhou was photographed. In the summer of six years, he was transferred to Jieyang county magistrate, and many of them had good governance. On the second day of August in the 25th year of Jiaqing (September 8, 1820), he died at the age of 68.

Character evaluation

The fifth chapter of the novel "mirror of the medical world": it is said that there is a Guangdong Ruzhou Liu Tingnan, a native of Hejian Prefecture, who has a history of being an official of Guangzhe.
