Life story

Shi Baozhong, acting as a doctor of the Ministry of official affairs, presided over the selection of officials together with Liu Qi and Zhang Shengu. Shi Baozhong is usually not very calm and cautious. Liu Qi has always been honest and fair. When Zhang Xungu got married with a noble family and was about to conduct a group trial on the candidates, people argued: "it's better to get rich people under Shi Baozhong's name, to get rich people under Liu Qi's name, and to get scholar bureaucrats under Zhang Xungu's name." This was verified. Later, he presided over the election together with Xu Ziru. Liu Qi was only famous for his impartiality and incorruptness. But Shi Baozhong, normal school and Zi Ru all asked him to go to Gouzhi (circle and draw the list). Every time he planned to confer an official position of selecting a person, he asked the historians, "Gouzhi?" At that time, people said to them, "Liu Qi is a very learned man, but those who are not very knowledgeable tend to use anecdotes to express their meaning."
