Follow the army to attack Shu
In the fifth year of Jingyuan (263), Zhong Hui, general of Zhenxi, attacked Shu. Zhong Hui sent Tian Zhang and others to go straight out of Jiangyou (now Southeast Pingwu, Sichuan) from the southwest of Jiange. Within a hundred miles, Tian Zhang first broke three barracks of Shu Han ambush. Later, Zhong Hui asked Tian Zhang to sneak across Yinping with Deng AI, general of Zhenxi. Jiangyou garrison general Ma Miao led his troops to ambush Tian Zhang, but was defeated by Tian Zhang and captured Jiangyou.

In 265, after the establishment of the Western Jin Dynasty, general Fenwei was granted.
On the fifth day of June in the sixth year of Taishi (270), bald tree, the leader of Xianbei in Hexi, launched an anti Jin campaign. In June, Hu lie, the governor of Qinzhou, was killed in wanhudui. Sima Yan, Emperor Wu of Jin, ordered Shi Shangshu to investigate the military affairs of Anxi general and Qinzhou, and led the army to the West with Tian Zhang, but the rebellion was not settled.

It is recorded in Chapter 116 of the romance of the Three Kingdoms: it is said that Zhong Hui's going down to the village is over, and the generals will listen to the order when they are promoted.
