Ran Jinzu
Ranjinzu (1638-1719), whose name is Yongguang, is a native of Zhongmou County, Shandong Province. He is a descendant of Confucius disciple ranboniu. At the end of the Yuan Dynasty, his predecessor served as the county magistrate of Zhongmou and settled in Zhongmou.

Ran Jinzu was a calligrapher and Confucian scholar in Qing Dynasty. The name is Yongguang, and the name is Juan. He is a native of Dameng Town, Zhongmou County, Henan Province. At the age of 17, he was a scholar in Yanling, and soon took a make-up examination for his doctorate. In 1654, he went to Baiquan, Weihui (now Jixian County, Henan Province) to attend the rural examination. He saw a large number of valuable books displayed by booksellers, and did his best to buy the complete works of four books and five classics and the collection of famous poems and essays. Therefore, he no longer focused on the examination, but went home to study and aspire to work. Kangxi 30 years (1691) Jinshi, official academy review. Ranjin's ancestry was stable, and rarely had the style of being an adult. At the age of 17, he married the daughter of Liang Tianmin, the educator of Jiaxian county. In November of the same year, he was a scholar in Yanling. He soon took a make-up examination for his doctoral students (a student studying in Guozijian, the highest institution). The next year, he went to Baiquan, Weihui (Jixian County, Henan Province) to take a local examination (examinee). In the 30 years of Kangxi's reign, he was a Jinshi and remained in the Imperial Academy. Three years later, he was promoted. During his tenure in the Imperial Academy, he and his colleagues were summoned by Emperor Kangxi, given a banquet, and wrote poems extemporaneously.
In the 37th year of Kangxi's reign, he resigned and returned to his hometown, and then went to Songyang academy to give lectures. The next year, he returned to the East. He was invited by Zhang mianzhai, the Minister of the Ministry of household affairs, to give lectures in Yifeng Academy (now Lankao County). At the same time, the magistrate of Dengfeng firmly invited him to give lectures in Songyang academy again.
In the 40th year of Kangxi's reign, he was once again called to Beijing to take up his original post. Because he was old, he was allowed to work in the Imperial Academy (the chief official of the Imperial Academy) in turn. He had nothing to do outside and was able to write at ease. In the 43rd year of Emperor Kangxi's reign, when he was 68 years old, he resigned his official post and returned to his hometown. He built lunhan hall, devoted himself to writing and taught his children. Kangxi died of illness in the 57th year of his reign at the age of 81. On his deathbed, he earnestly admonished the scholars to publish his manuscripts and build a library for future generations to read, but there was no private matter involved.
Character evaluation
Ran Jinzu devoted himself to learning all his life and wrote many works, especially in the Neo Confucianism of song and Ming Dynasties. His works such as Xing Li Bian Yao, Yang Ming doubtful case and Zheng Meng Bu Xun are all famous works about Neo Confucianism. His rigorous scholarship and upright argument are highly praised by people at that time. When the imperial court compiled the five classics, the emperor took the detailed introduction of the four books and five classics written by ran in Henan Province as a reference, and was praised as a great Confucian by the people of that time.
