The editor compiled more than 100 kinds of medical books about Pediatrics before the Southern Song Dynasty, and preserved a lot of the contents of the lost books. The book is a comprehensive collection of many folk and private prescriptions. In addition to the commonly used pills, powders, ointments and pills, there are also acupuncture, moxibustion and external therapies. It has a high reference value for clinical practice and is a great achievement of Pediatrics before Song Dynasty. There are plenty of materials of the previous generation cited in the book, and all the documents have clear sources, among which there are many lost medical works or other documents, so it has very important literature value.
