Wang Runsheng
Wang Runsheng, also known as Zhiqun, was born in 1880 in dongmaopo, Baisha County, Changsha County, Hunan boxing champion. In his early years, he practiced writing and martial arts from Yang Changji, Yang Kaihui's father. Later, he Yanguang, a famous teacher, learned sixteen hand, three-step jump, cross stake, one character, White Ape, whole body, five Yang and five Yin skills, which are collectively called "eight fists".
In 1905, he went to Japan to study, went to Tokyo Hongwen academy to study Japanese judo. He once fell qingtaro Tano, a famous judoka, three times and was known as the "champion". In the same year, he joined the league and served as a bodyguard for league members.
He returned to China in 1912. The next spring, he and Xiang kairan founded the National Martial Arts Association in Xuegong street, Changsha, with hundreds of students, which played a positive role in lifting the martial arts ban at that time. Later, he was appointed as a judge of the first army.
In 1913, he went back to Japan and was admitted to the Department of physical education of Imperial University. After class, he practiced martial arts in Dashen club and taught some Chinese students "eight fists".
In 1915, he returned to China and studied Taijiquan from Wu Jianquan in Beijing. Shanghai Dadong Publishing House published his book Taijiquan.
At the invitation of Xiang kairan, he went to Shanghai to teach art in 1916. This winter, he defeated Russian Hercules dovinovsky in Shanghai and became famous in Shenjiang and the whole country. Wang Runsheng has been a PE teacher of Hunan higher industry school, Mingde middle school and Changjun Middle School. Later, he was a member of the executive yuan of Nanjing and taught Taijiquan.
In 1928 and 1932, he successively served as the judge of the National Wushu examination and the second National Wushu examination in Hunan Province. In 1937, he was employed by Hunan University as a physical education professor and taught boxing skills. In October 1938, he moved to Chenxi with Hunan University. In the summer of 1941, the Japanese bombed the Chenxi branch of Hunan University. Unfortunately, Wang Runsheng was shot and seriously injured.
