Wang Zhen (1656-1730), who was born in Hengyang, Hunan Province in the Qing Dynasty, was named Huzhi and Jiaoqi.
Wang Yu, Wang Yu (1656-1730), a native of Hengyang, Hunan Province in the Qing Dynasty, was named Huzhi and Jiaoqi. The second son of Wang Fu. When I was young, I studied with my father. I read all the classics and history and all the schools of thought. When he was young, he had a literary name. He was also known as "the four families of Southern Chu" together with Shaoyang Che Wujiu, Wang Yuanfu and you County Chen Zhizhen. He is especially good at eight legged prose, and together with Wang Yuanfu of Shaoyang and Wang Jian of Hanyang, he is called "three kings of Southern Chu". In the 25th year of Kangxi (1686), he began to accept the reality of the rule of the Qing Dynasty, and went out to try as a scholar. The next year, he built a house next to the thatched cottage in Xiangxi, and opened a library to teach students. The library number was "Jiaoqi". Since then, he has rarely been out. In the 41st year of Emperor Kangxi's reign, with the aid of students and friends, Chuanshan's letter was first published in Xiangxi thatched cottage. On the 60th birthday in the 54th year of Kangxi (1715), relatives and students gave birthday gifts, that is, they rebuilt Xiangxi thatched cottage with birthday gifts and changed the rafters into tile houses. In the 58th year of Kangxi's reign, he was 64 years old when he took the local examination. In 1730, he was invited by Hengyang County Government to compile Hengyang County annals. He died of illness after only a few volumes. He is the author of Jiaoqi zisuo, Jiaoqi cungao, gugucao and other books, and the unpublished poetry collection huaiyincao (containing 115 poems from the 18th to the 30th years of Kangxi). In addition, he wrote some articles, such as "Da Xing Fu Jun Xing Zheng", "Xiangxi Cao Tang Ji", and explained some important philosophical works of Wang Fuzhi, such as "Zhang Zi Zheng Meng Zhu", "Lao Zi Yan", "Zhuangzi Jie".
