Wang Boda (? - 1253), the word Youxue, the number Liugeng. In the Southern Song Dynasty, a native of Chian village, Changxi county (now Xiapu County), Fujian Province, was born unknown. My father is perfect. Jiading (1208-1224) was a Jinshi. He was a magistrate of Qingtian County, a privy officer, and a doctor. In the seventh year of Chunyou (1247), he signed a letter to the Privy Council, and had the right to participate in political affairs. The next year, he visited the government. When he was dismissed from office, he knew Jiangning Prefecture and his death by the scholar of Zizheng hall.
Personal resume
Wang Boda was influenced by his family when he was young, and he was familiar with scriptures. Jiading seven years (1214) ascended Jinshi, from then on embarked on the official career. He has been in politics for 34 years, and has been transferred more than 30 times. He was dismissed twice and demoted three times. In the tenth year of Jiading (1217), there was a famine in Taizhou, Quzhou, Wuzhou, Rao and Xinzhou in Zhejiang and Jiangxi provinces. In order to make the famine relief money benefit the victims, Wang Boda set up the Bureau of famine relief. He hired people of insight to discuss the ancient and modern relief methods, and cleaned up the household registration. With red, yellow, black, and white as the symbols, he classified the disaster situation and publicized it, which made the relief work fast and good, and saved many victims. Feeling their virtue, the victims made up a folk saying: "red, yellow, black and white rings, a, B, C, D households. If it were not for Wang Zhijun, he would have killed countless people. " 13 memorial halls for Wang Bo. Later, he learned about Xinyang Army (now Xinyang City, Henan Province) and Chizhou (now Guichi, Anhui Province), and he was also in charge of Jiangdong and promoted to Changping. " "Duiyan" has more than a thousand words, which criticizes the maladministration of the imperial court in detail, and points out that the imperial court thinks that "the whole country is loyal to its officials, and there is nothing wrong with the holy Dynasty", which will cause endless future troubles. On the surface, LiZong adopted Wang Boda's "Duyan", but he was afraid of offending the powerful people in the court. So he released Wang Boda to Wuzhou (now Jinhua, Zhejiang Province) and returned to Beijing after his term of office. After that, it was degraded twice. When he was acting Minister of the Ministry of punishment, he was impeached and dismissed by powerful officials. During the reign of emperor Jiaxi (1237-1240), Fang Dacong, a native of Putian, praised Wang Boda highly for his long-term career. He wrote to Prime Minister Li zongmian with regret: "if Wang Youxue were to establish a dynasty, it would be like Huainan's going to sleep.". Can't the imperial court build itself up with a strong official? "Soon, Wang Boda was appointed to Wuzhou, but he didn't take up his post. After Wang Boda dismissed from office, he was ordered to "supervise the water transport in Fujian". After taking office, Wang Wei, a native of Li, reported that yingtianpi, his hometown, had been in disrepair for a long time, and the people had no water in the fields. He donated 50 liang of silver to advocate the repair of yingtianpi, and entrusted Huang Ke, the county magistrate, with the task. Huang Ke also raised the surplus rent of the temple and retained the salt tax as a subsidy. Therefore, the river was intercepted at shuimogeng of Chian stream (now called Luohan stream), and three levels of stone were built on the basis of a series of wooden frames to strengthen its momentum; two gates were opened to drain the flood, and slope protection was built on the side to protect zhengpi. The project started in 1243 and was completed the next year, benefiting more than 1000 mu of farmland. In order to commemorate Wang Boda's initiative of repairing the lake, Wang Bodong wrote the story of repairing the lake on the red bank with the Jinshi Tongzhi Lang Linzhen. After his death, the villagers built a memorial temple in Ruiyan Temple (now abandoned). In 1244, Wang Boda was called to que, and was appointed as the Minister of the Ministry of officials and the Minister of the Ministry of punishment. Later, he was appointed as the Minister of the Ministry of punishment. In the seventh year of Chunyou (1247), he was worshipped as a scholar of Duanming palace and signed a letter to the Privy Council. Chunyou eight years (1248), served as a political adviser, but in the same year was impeached by the censor and dismissed. After that, he was demoted and granted the bachelor degree of zizhengdian and ZhiJianNing mansion. After arriving at the post, because of old age and infirmity, he wrote to beg for retirement. Wang Boda was a clean and honest official. In July of the first year of Baoyou (1253), Wang Boda died. Posthumous title "Zhongwen", buried in Xiapu County Chixi village.
Academic achievements
Wang Boda highly praised Han Yu in literature, and agreed that prose can be "with the length of words" and "taught to the people". He is the author of hanchangli jiyinzhu. After returning to Li in his later years, he called himself "Liugeng Taoist" and built Liugeng Hall (now abandoned) on Chian. He wrote "siliuming" (see huhai Xinwen Yijian continuation annals), which said: "if you have more than enough, you can return your fortune; if you have more than enough, you can return your salary to the court; if you have more than enough, you can return your wealth to the people; if you have more than enough, you can return your happiness to your descendants."
