Lingzhao tomb
Recently, the tomb of Lingzhao in meilang village, Yongfa Town, Chengmai County has been listed in the Sixth Batch of national key cultural relics protection units. What's special about Lingzhao tomb? Can it be listed as a national key cultural relic protection unit? The reporter made a visit to this end. Lingzhao tomb, also known as "xianhuatai", is commonly known as "Jiemu". According to the records of Zhengde Qiongtai annals of Ming Dynasty and Chen Daoxu's epitaph, Lingzhao tomb was built in the late Song Dynasty and early Yuan Dynasty. In 1997, the cultural and social security department found Lingzhao tomb while repairing meilang twin towers, but the tower, xumizuo and the tower body were damaged, leaving only the crypt, the foundation of the tower and the tower brake. In 1999, the cultural and social security department incorporated it into the new protection plan of meilang twin towers and managed it by meilang Twin Towers management office. In 2004, the provincial cultural administration office recommended Lingzhao tomb as the Sixth Batch of national key cultural relics protection units. Lingzhao tomb is located from the southwest to the northeast. Its structure is divided into two parts: crypt and aboveground architecture. The underground cave is a stone chamber, and the above ground building is a tombstone tower with stone and wood like structure. The bottom of the pagoda is xumizuo, and the upper part is a "Hall of enjoyment" with three rooms wide and two rooms deep. The pagoda is in the form of five layers of compound bowls, with a height of 0.48 meters. The plan of "Xiangtang" is one bright and two dark, and the back eaves of the Ming Dynasty are inlaid with a tombstone of "GuJie chenxianhuatai". Two times, four pairs of doors are embossed. The back, left and right walls of "Xiangtang" are all embossed with flowers and birds, similar to the tomb of Zhou's parents Chen Daoxu. Lingzhao tomb is 3.1 meters long, 3 meters wide and 2.76 meters high.
Cultural and historical connotation of Lingzhao tomb
The shape of Lingzhao tomb tower is very rare, and its shape is primitive, which is closely related to Buddhist culture and Buddhist burial custom. It is an extremely important architectural example in Hainan Buddhist architecture and Buddhist burial custom. It enriches the cultural connotation of ancient funeral system in Hainan. The wood like structure of Lingzhao tomb provides abundant information for the study of Hainan ancient architectural system and culture in song and Yuan Dynasties. Especially in Hainan, where there are no examples of wooden structures before Ming Dynasty, these historical materials are very precious. The discovery of Lingzhao tomb has enriched the cultural connotation of meilang twin towers, supplemented the lack of historical records of meilang twin towers, and provided important material historical materials for the further protection of meilang twin towers. Lingzhao tomb has such an important historical and cultural value that it deserves to be listed as a national key cultural relics protection unit.
A quiet tomb, a beautiful village
Under the guidance of the villagers, the reporter came to meilang village. This is a low village full of green houses. Meilang Twin Towers stand quietly in a pool of water, with the spire pointing straight to the blue sky. The leaves of litchi and banyan trees are cool in front of meita. There is a paddy field not far from the twin towers. The water in the field reflects the blue sky and white clouds. If you enter a pure land, it is a place for self-cultivation. The reporter visited meilang village to get the legend of Chen Daoxu's family from the villagers. Unfortunately, the old people in the village only knew that meilang twin towers were built by Chen Daoxu. On the tombstone of Lingzhao's tomb is written "GuJie Chen xianhuatai", "GuJie Chen" is sister Shanchang's name for Lingzhao. Shanchang doesn't call her "Lingzhao", so it can be inferred that Lingzhao has returned to the secular life when she died. As for why Lingzhao was collected and buried by his sister, it is difficult to find out. Led by an enthusiastic villager, the reporter went to Lingzhao tomb. The lush branches and vines cover the narrow path, and the 150 meter path is long and difficult. Lingzhao tomb is quietly located in an open space surrounded by a forest. The buildings on Lingzhao cemetery no longer exist, and the building stones lie on a pile of loess. The reporter can only see the scale of Lingzhao tomb from the open space in the forest. Touching the tombstone "GuJie Chen Xianhua terrace", it is a pity that Shanchang's fate after "Xianhua" is unknown. From the scale of meilang twin pagoda, Zhou's tomb and Lingzhao's tomb, we know that Chen Daoxu's family might have flourished at that time. How could the parents of such a family let their two daughters become nuns? With a long history, this question can only be left in the minds of journalists and there is no way to answer it. before leaving, the reporter learned that Lingzhao tomb and Zhou's Tomb of Chen Daoxu had been included in the second phase planning of meilang Twin Towers protection system and would be developed into unique tourist attractions.
