Shen Yixiu (1590-1635) < / I >, a talented woman of Ming Dynasty, was born in Wujiang, Jiangsu Province. Born in a scholarly family, she is the niece of Shen Jing and the wife of Ye Shaoyuan. Three men and five women have literary talent. Ye wanwan, her eldest daughter, ye Xiaowan, her second daughter, ye xiaoluan, her third daughter, ye Xiaofan, her fifth daughter, and Shen Xianying, her third daughter-in-law, all wrote poems and anthologies. Ye Xie is his young son.
In 1636, ye Shaoyuan compiled his wife's and children's works into Wu Meng Tang Ji, which is popular in later generations.
Life of the characters
Elegant style
Shen Yixiu was born in 1590 A.D. in Songling, a Wenyuan family as famous as the Ye family in FenHu. Shen's family lived in Songling from the end of Yuan Dynasty. Shen's uncle Shen Jing (dramatist and writer of Ming Dynasty) who made Shen's family famous was Shen Yixiu. Besides Shen Jing, Shen Zijin (nephew of Shen Jing) was also a member of Shen's family, and he wrote such legendary works as Wanghu Pavilion. Shen Zizheng (brother of Shen Yixiu) wrote the drama "Yuyang Sannong" (including "whip geisha" and "Song prostitute")《 Zanhuaji (zanhuaji) and batingqiu (batingqiu) were rated as the "No.1 of Beiqu" by the people of the Ming Dynasty, and more than ten people, such as Shen Zichang (the story of purple peony), Shen Yongling (the Peach Blossom Village), Shen Zinan (the collection of yilinhuikao), Shen chongsui (the notes to Du Qu), were also named as "Wujiang school". Shen Yixiu grew up in such a large family of "elegant and talented people".
Failure to learn hard
According to Shen Zizheng's preface to the collection of orioles blowing, Shen Yixiu "has a long cherished supreme nature, which can be read through the eyes when he is four or five years old, and when he is eight years old, he can uphold the rule of the pot, suppress his family with propriety, and calm his boudoir.". "My younger brother is not Xiao, but he is stubborn, fighting for dates and chestnuts. He often touches his elder sister with birds and animals, and his elder sister is angry, which can be easily explained by his good words," and "when we first met with adults, we were surprised to be extraordinary", which makes our parents quite fond of him. due to family factors, Shen Yixiu did not go to school except for his parents' occasional teaching. Fortunately, in a literary family like Shen's, most of the female elders in the family are literate. There are more than a dozen women whose poems and other works are popular. Shen Yixiu, a young man without a teacher, is diligent and eager to learn from the female elders in his family. He studies hard and can often "learn ten things and recite the history of books". A little longer, I can't help but feel sad when I think of my mother's early death, after reading and writing, and between housework. This can't be seen from his poems before his marriage, but it can also be seen from his father's death poem "the sound and appearance of Yan Jun was as before after he gave up his donation, and the fire had been burning, and he wanted to give up his ambition to express his pain". There is a sentence in the poem: "cry no more, the ileum is broken", which is the pain of losing his mother and then his father.
Harmony between Qin and Se
In 1605, Shen Yixiu married ye Shaoyuan, who was 16 years old. At this time, Wan Jun was already "tall but long, and his temples and temples could be used for reference". When he returned, he was "dressed in deer carts and cloth, and there was no complaint.". This marriage can be said to be a match made in heaven. It not only met the external conditions of the time, such as the right family and the good looks of men and women, but also opened a door for the two young men and girls who were just in love. No wonder when people sigh: qiongzhi Yushu, cross phase yingdai. That year, ye Shaoyuan was seventeen years old. He was fashionable and beautiful. He became king Xie Fengyi. Shen Yixiu's lanxinhuizhi is skilled in chanting, and there should have been a lot of poems and Fu between them. Shen Yixiu, who is good at reading, likes to read extensively when he has free time. He never forgets the classics, history, CI and Fu. He also likes to write poems and lyrics. His works have a wide range of themes, various forms, novel ideas and girlish spirit. All those who see them praise Xie Daokai's style. However, her mother-in-law was worried that her poetry writing would affect ye Shaoyuan's reading, because it was inevitable that her husband and wife would share their appreciation, and even sing and answer each other, which distracted ye Shaoyuan. Therefore, she did not like or hope Shen Yixiu's poetry writing, and let Shen Yixiu give up his poetry writing and concentrate on his housework. Shen Yixiu was dissatisfied with her mother-in-law's demands, but she was a woman deeply influenced by traditional culture. She refused to go against her mother-in-law's will, causing family discord, which affected her husband ye Shaoyuan's reading, and had to give up her poetry creation. Shen Yixiu is a quiet and tidy woman. In ye Shaoyuan's biography of Shen An people in the dead room, she said: "the life of Shen An people in the dead room Good clean, bed screen a few front, do not leave fiber At the time of the first marriage, a bed of green gauze was hung for 30 years. "It's not easy to be cold and hot, and the color is old and clean, just like new." Shen Yixiu's character of being good at running a family was even more prominent when he was in the middle of the family road. A few years after his marriage, ye Shaoyuan studied in a school for the imperial examination. At that time, ye Shaoyuan lived with his cousin Ye Shaoyu and studied hard. In order to cope with the imperial examination, ye Shaoyuan often wrote articles about strategies. He took them home and asked Shen Yixiu to criticize and correct them. Shen Yixiu often pointed out mistakes and corrected them. His opinions convinced ye Shaoyuan. In order to help ye Shaoyuan, Shen Yixiu also often helped ye Shaoyuan to copy his essays on strategies for the examination. His beautiful calligraphy (especially small regular script) is praised by all who see it as having the style of Lady Wei (a famous female calligrapher in ancient times). However, ye Shaoyuan, who is famous for his works in Jiangnan, was "tired in the autumn Wei, tired in the Yan Jian, and poor in the family" in the imperial examination. Shen Yixiu always encouraged his frustrated husband in the examination room, and "encouraged each other from the cow's clothes" made him full of confidence in his talent and learning, and "never had the words to be a shameful Concubine". Under such circumstances, Shen Yixiu, on the one hand, "worked hard to raise children, and was hard pressed to make ends meet" and "didn't move Feng Taifu's heart". On the other hand, he sold his dowry jewelry to subsidize his family, so that he "had no spare accessories left in his suitcase". His younger brother Shen Zizheng said: "when you are serious, you are afraid of going against your aunt's heart. His husband has many children, and his aunt is seldom dissatisfied with him. His elder sister kneels down and pleads with him all her life. However, Shen "rice salt pulp wine time, do not waste chanting.". When his husband went to the examination again, Shen Yixiu sent his poem "jiazizhongshaoqiu tries Jinling" to him. There is a sentence in it that "don't let the autumn go now, don't let the envoys teach my concubines to face shame", which shows his hope wittily and tactfully. In 1625, ye Shaoyuan won the title of the golden list, and he was chosen as a Jinshi. He said that "when he ascended Nangong in Shao, he was called Mingfu by Luan Gao". From then on, ye entered his official career. He first taught martial arts in Nanjing, and then moved to Guozi as a teaching assistant. In less than two years, he changed to be the head of the Ministry of industry. It can be said that his official career is smooth. Shen Yixiu, who was born in an official family and had broad-minded moral character, was "kind and forgiving to others, holding on to his own commonplace. When he went down to his maidservant, he would say something good for him. That is to say, there was a mistake, and he knew where his feelings were, so there was no anger of peace or unjustifiable punishment". This was commendable in the old society. Although his life is also very difficult, sometimes he has to borrow money, but Shen "people have to meet their needs.". At one time, there was a lot of land in yejiazu's family, which was spread to yeshaoyuan. Because of poor management and poor family, he had to sell part of the land in order to subsidize his family. Later, there was little left. Part of the land in hand is planted by the tenants. The annual rent can be used as the main source of income for the family. In a year of disaster, the Ye family "often add and subtract extra" while Shen Yixiu is more benevolent and "orders the planners to buy a small amount of income.". When ye Shaoyuan's friends were poor and could not help themselves, Shen Yixiu "took off his hairpin and gave him dozens of gold." At this time, ye Shaoyuan said, "if you go here, your box will be empty. You'd rather not complain." Ye Shaoyuan was moved to say that he would repay her with Zhai guancuiqiao one day, but Shen Yixiu said, "since he has committed himself to you, how can he repay you?" The happiest days in their husband and wife's life were the first two years when ye Shaoyuan resigned. At that time, Qu Shuo's mother was still in spirit, and there were a group of talented children. The couple were in their prime of life. How could they not be happy in such a happy and loving family with Yushu fangting and scholarly atmosphere? Zhang Chao, a writer of the Qing Dynasty, once said: "he was born in Hushan County in the Taiping era; his officials were honest and quiet, and his family was well-off; he married a virtuous woman, and had intelligent children. Life is like this, but the cloud is full of happiness. " It can be used to describe the life of the Ye family at this time. a happy life can stimulate people's poetic interest, as the song "dawn rises" says: "peony is like a smile, beautiful corridor song. Rose more curl, full of frame fan ruby. The scenery is beautiful and leisurely, so we can talk about it to eliminate the worldliness. " From this we can see that he is in a good mood when he gets up early. Ye Shao yuan wrote eight poems of "village in autumn" like the ancients. Shen Yixiu also wrote eight poems according to their rhyme. His poems are full of joy and love for life. The first one is: "the land is remote in Chai village, and the door is open in Diye. In the fourth poem, there is a sentence: "living in seclusion comes from desolation, and a pillow is full of flowers". These poems express the love of husband and wife, the joy of family harmony and the loveliness of life. There is a song in the bamboo branch poem of FenHu: the moon is hanging on the lake, the wind is blowing and the waves are fresh. The countryside feels the beauty of autumn light and the beauty of Hibiscus under the water. Put the joy into the scenery and read it as if you saw it with your own eyes. In the title of the poem, happy rain, there is a saying that "flowers are ready to drop, and fine grass can float". It describes the scenery after the rain in a happy mood, which is quite like the artistic conception of Du Shaoling's happy rain on a spring night, that is, "seeing the red and wet place at dawn, flowers are heavy on the city of Jinguan".
