Wang Ji
Wang Ji
Qing Dynasty (1626-1699 A.D.) word boat times, No. regret Zhai, Anhui Xiuning people, Jiangsu Jiangdu. He was born in the reign of Chongzhen of Ming Dynasty and died in the 38th year of Emperor Kangxi of Qing Dynasty at the age of 74. He is upright in nature and strong in spirit. He is tireless in his study and read the secret book of nisoqi. He was a Gongsheng at the age of 20 and was trained by Ganyu. In the 18th year of the reign of Emperor Kangxi (1679 A.D.), he was recommended to be "erudite and great Confucianist" and tried to rank first. He taught the Imperial Academy to review and compile the history of Ming Dynasty. His works include Chongzhen Changbian, regret Zhaiji, miscellaneous records of envoys to Ryukyu, canonized shuchao, history of Zhongzhou, legend of Bu Tianshi, Guanhai Ji, etc.

Note: at the beginning of the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty, due to the lack of water supply in the northern section of the south canal, the heavy load of the water vessels could not reach Beijing. The Qing government ordered six counties, including Wuqing in the east of Beijing, to build 100 grain barges each, and each county should pay for the maintenance of ten hectares of public land. Because of the affiliation, most of the shipmen in Wuqing were Yangliuqing people, commonly known as canal small grain boats. They are often sent to transport grain with big boats.
