Tang Shaoen, the word Ru Cheng, Hao Du Zhai, the Ming Dynasty Sichuan Pu (now Anyue) people. In the fifth year of Jiajing (1526), he was a Jinshi, and successively served as a doctor of the Ministry of household, a magistrate of ande, a magistrate of Shaoxing, and a right political envoy of Shandong. Later, he returned to his official post and died in 1997. He is a famous water conservancy expert in ancient China.
Life of the characters
Tang Shaoen was born in Anyue, Sichuan Province. In 1535, he was appointed as the magistrate of Shaoxing. After knowing Shaoxing, the Xingxue palace set up a wide range of social schools, suspended the punishment, sympathized with the poor and the weak, respected filial piety, and helped the famine, which was deeply loved by the people.
character
At that time, the waters of Kuaiji, Shanyin and Xiaoshan all flowed into the sea at the mouth of the three rivers. Due to the arrival of the tide, the sand piled up like a mound. In case of excessive rain, the internal water is blocked by sand piles and can not be released suddenly, resulting in the inundation of fertile fields and flooding. After Tang Shaoen took office, in July of the 15th year of Jiajing, he inspected the topography of the mountains and rivers, understood the flow direction of the river, built a sluice near the gorge between Caifeng mountain and Longbei mountain, and presided over the Sanjiang sluice project. It took six months to complete. The whole gate has 28 holes, 310 feet long, and the gate body is made of stone blocks. The stone body is huge, and each block weighs more than 1000 Jin. The stone and the stone female are held together. The glue is made of grey sorghum and poured with pig iron. It is very firm. At the same time, water is carved on the pillar. In March of the next year, a levee was built outside the gate, which was completed in five months. It is 400 feet long and 40 feet wide. At the same time, in order to separate the water potential, he also presided over the construction of Pingshui Jinglou and Bangtang gates between sanjiangtang and sanjiangtang gates, which cooperated with Sanjiang Yingsu gate to form a Sanjiang water system with external tidal control and internal storage. Since then, there has been no danger of drought and water overflow, which has changed the state of water conservancy in the three counties and played a great role in the development of agriculture, fishery, aquaculture and shipping.
In the 17th year of Jiajing reign, he presided over the reconstruction of Dongtang, Nantang, Tongsai weir and sluice of Gujian lake into water margin, which stretches more than 100 li from east to west and forms a thoroughfare, which is not only conducive to water storage, but also convenient for transportation.
After the completion of the Sanjiang sluice project, qianqingjiang river was incorporated into the river lake system of Shanhui plain and became an inland river. The inland rivers in Xiaoshan plain to the north of Qianqing River are also included in the system, forming a three river system with dense rivers and lakes, flat land, convenient irrigation and no danger of drought and flood. Since the flood disaster caused by the abandonment of Jianhu Lake in the late Northern Song Dynasty, the water conservancy features of Shanyin and Kuaiji have been fundamentally changed again. The swamp plain with tides has been transformed into a land of rich fish and rice. In order to commemorate Shaoen's achievements in building the gate, Shaoxing has built Tanggong Temple beside Kaiyuan Temple and Sanjiang gate in Fucheng since the Wanli year of Ming Dynasty, offering sacrifices in spring and autumn every year. In 1987, the newly built bridge connecting the left side of Sanjiang sluice was named "Tanggong bridge" by Shaoxing County People's government to commemorate.
