Tang Zhidao? Song Dynasty Taoist. Dongye, Mr. Lingbao. Zhenjiang Danyang (now Jiangsu Province) people. The 37th generation master of Shangqing school.

"Mao Shan Zhi" said that "reading negative Qi, bun barefoot.". He lived at the top of Mt. Damaoshan for 30 years and "vowed not to go out of the mountain", so he had great skill. In the third year of Chunyou (1243) of emperor LiZong of Song Dynasty, his master was Bao Zhizhen, the 36th generation master of Shangqing school. In the autumn of 1245, it was a severe drought. Tang Zhidao was called to the imperial court to pray for rain. He succeeded greatly. He was given a special name and a special reward. In the sixth year of Baoyou's reign (1258), it was said in the sermon that "smile into the sky", but die with a smile. Disciple Jiang Zongying took his Dharma suit. There are biographies in Zhishun Zhenjiang annals of Yuan Dynasty (Volume 19) and Danyang county annals of Qing Dynasty (Volume 2 and 4).
