Jiang Wei
Jiang Wei, Professor of Law School of Renmin University of China (1930-2012), is a famous contemporary jurist and law educator. He is one of the important founders of new China's civil procedure law, the founder of civil procedure law discipline of Law School of Renmin University of China, and a recognized leader of China's civil procedure law at home and abroad.
Character experience
From 1941 to 1948, he finished middle school in Lianghe middle school and Songyang middle school in Kaifeng. In November 1948, he entered Zhongyuan University as a revolutionary youth. Later, he joined the army and worked in the General Political Department of the second field army and the Xinhua branch of the Political Department of the Fifth Corps. He studied in Zhongyuan University (now Zhongnan University of economics and law) from 1949 to 50, and was admitted to the law department of Renmin University of China in 1952. He graduated in 1956 and stayed in school to teach. He has been engaged in the teaching and research of civil procedure law and civil law. He has successively served as assistant professor, lecturer, associate professor, professor and doctoral supervisor of Law School of Renmin University of China. He is one of the founders of the discipline of procedural law and the doctoral program of procedural law of the National People's Congress. he has been employed as a part-time professor in Central College of political science and law administration, Zhejiang College of political science and law administration, Xiangtan University and Hainan University. He has successively served as deputy general director of the Research Society of procedural law of China law society, chairman of the professional committee of Civil Procedure Law of China law society, director of China Notary Association, director of Beijing law society, member of the expert advisory committee of the Supreme People's Procuratorate, member of the legal advisory Committee of the Standing Committee of Hebei Provincial People's Congress, senior legal adviser of China legal adviser website, etc. From 1978 to 1999, he has been invited to teach civil law and civil procedure law for Peking University, Fudan University, Anhui University, Southwest University of political science and law, Hangzhou University, Zhengzhou University, Henan University and other law schools; since 1986, he has been invited to give lectures for Shuren College of Hong Kong, legislative assembly of Kyoto, Japan, University of Hong Kong, Soochow University of Taiwan and Law School of City University of Hong Kong. Main contributions
Professor Jiang Wei has participated in and is participating in the drafting and argumentation of civil procedure law and many national laws. In 1979, as a member of the drafting group of the Civil Procedure Law of the Legislative Committee of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, he participated in the drafting of the first civil procedure code of new China; in 1990, when the civil procedure code was revised, he once again participated in the drafting of the current civil procedure law as a member of the drafting group of the civil procedure law. In 1994, he was employed by the finance and Economics Committee of the National People's Congress as a consultant to draft the bankruptcy law and participated in the drafting of the new bankruptcy law.
