Mei Dingzuo
Mei Dingzuo (1549-1615), named Yujin, was born in Xuancheng, Anhui Province. He was a writer, dramatist and novelist in Ming Dynasty.

Father Shoude, Jiajing Jinshi, official affairs, to disobey Yan Song out of Shaoxing, tired moved to Yunnan to participate in politics, returned to build academy lectures, known as Mr. Wanxi. Shen Shi was a cabinet bachelor, recommended him to the court, but did not leave. He retired to shudai garden and built "Tianyi Pavilion", "dongbilou" and "Luqiu stone room" for book collection and writing. He has collected tens of thousands of volumes of books. He has enjoyed reading, collecting and writing books all his life. He once said that "books and I are like fish in water. If we lose them in a moment, we can't make a living.". He made a contract with the famous book collectors Jiao Hong, Feng Mengzhen and Zhao Qimei, each of whom met in Jinling every three years to collect a wide range of posthumous books and rare and secret books, and each of them produced his own collection of fine books and wrote them to each other. He had the deepest friendship with Tang Xianzu. They criticized each other for their articles and poems. The book was copied on blue check paper with the word "dongbilou" printed on the heart of the edition. After middle age, he concentrated on the collection of poetry and literary classics and drama creation. His work, yuheji, is a masterpiece of Kunshan school and has a certain influence in the history of Chinese opera. The book collection is printed with "Mei Yin Ding Zuo", "Mei Yu Jin collection", "Ding Zuo", "Lu Qiu Shi Shi Shi Shi Shi Shi collection", "Tian Yi collection" and so on. There are many kinds of works, such as zaju, 20 volumes of poems, 16 volumes of novels, and 13 volumes of qingni Lianhua. He also compiled Tang Yue Yuan, Gu Le Yuan, Wan Ya and Lu Qiu Shi Shi Shi Shi Shi Shi Ji.
Personal career
Since childhood, he has been eager to learn, and has never abandoned books in his diet and bed. He was born at the age of 16 and is famous for his poems and essays in Jiangnan. Luo rufang, the sheriff, called Wang Ji as "little friend". Later, he was not the first to bear the burden. "He took the ancient learning as his own responsibility, ate and slept without abandoning books, and sent it as his diction. He was generous and elegant, which was good for the literati and bureaucrats." He made friends with Wang Shizhen and Wang Daokun, who were famous literary figures at that time, and was praised by Shizhen and others. In his youth, Mei Dingzuo was good at making friends with Tang Xianzu, a dramatist. He was good at poetry and Ancient Ci. His works were all "upright, pure and upright, smooth and elegant". Scholars and bureaucrats are all good, with the reputation of "elegant poetry".
