Shangshu

Shangshu is a collection of ancient Chinese historical documents and some works that trace back ancient deeds. Anonymous. It is divided into four parts: Yu Shu, Xia Shu, Shang Shu and Zhou Shu. In the pre Qin Dynasty, it was generally called "Shu", while in the Han Dynasty, it was called "Shangshu", which means the book of ancient emperors. It's said that this book was compiled by Confucius in the past. In modern view, it is generally believed that the book of Shang and the book of Zhou were recorded by the historians of Shang and Zhou dynasties, which were enriched in the process of spreading. The book of Yu and the book of Xia were written by later generations according to ancient historical legends, not the works of Yu and Xia dynasties. The main contents of the book appeared later than the Warring States period. During the Warring States period, the book was widely popular in the society, about 100 of which were lost after burning books in the Qin Dynasty. By the beginning of Han Dynasty, only 28 articles were left, which were taught by Fu Sheng, the former doctor of Qin Dynasty. Because it was transcribed in the official script which was popular at that time, it was called Jinwen Shangshu.

Later, some chapters of Shangshu, which were transcribed in pre Qin script, were found one after another. Among them, the most important one was found in the wall when King Lu Gong destroyed Confucius' former residence in the early Western Han Dynasty, which is 16 more than Jinwen Shangshu, and was presented to the court by Kong an Guo. The book was lost in the late Western Jin Dynasty.

In the Eastern Jin Dynasty, the history of Yuzhang presented 58 ancient books of history, each of which had a note called Kong an Guo Zhuan. In the early years of the Southern Song Dynasty, scholars such as Wu Zhen and Zhu Xi began to doubt the book, believing that it was not like the words of Zhou and Qin Dynasties. In the yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties, more and more scholars continued to criticize the book. Zhao Mengfu of the Yuan Dynasty, Mei Zhuo of the Ming Dynasty, Yan ruoxian of the Qing Dynasty, Huidong of the Qing Dynasty, and Qinghua Bamboo Slips Collected in July 2008 all prove that Mei you's Shangshu is a fake book.
