Reading the classics of literature and history for self entertainment, being good at writing and Ci, advocating chivalry, is praised by the village. In June of the second year of the reign of emperor Shunzhi of the Qing Dynasty (1645), the soldiers of the Qing dynasty fell into Suzhou and Jiaxing. Sun Zhang and Ni Fu, together with their relatives and friends, organized volunteers to fight against the Qing Dynasty, donated family property, helped pay for the army, recruited more local soldiers, and divided the defense areas. They joined forces with Wu Yi of Taihu Lake, Xu Shiqi of Jiaxing, Chen Zilong of Songjiang, Xia Yunyi and other righteous soldiers to attack the Qing soldiers of neighboring counties, and successively recovered Jiashan twice, killing two magistrate and one supervisor of the Qing army, cutting 23 generals of the Qing Dynasty, and annihilating more than 1000 enemies. Emperor Longwu of the Southern Ming Dynasty appointed sun Zhang as the deputy director of water transport, and Ni Fu and sun Ju, the son of sun Zhang, as the military department. On the ninth day of June of the third year, Liu Suzhi, the magistrate of the Qing Dynasty, pretended to be in any way and cheated the leader of Yibing to attend the banquet. Wu Yi, sun Zhang, sun Ju and Ni Fu all attended the party and took a rest at the sun's villa outside Dongguan. Liu Mi ordered the ambush to stand out, and sun and Ni were arrested. On the way to escort, sun Zhang and his son committed suicide in the East River of sunjiaqiao. Their family property was confiscated and they were killed by closing the door. Sun Siming, the fourth son of sun Zhang, and Han mu, the sixth son of sun Zhang, all cut their hair and became monks, but they were still killed by the Qing soldiers; sun Zhang's daughter (the daughter-in-law of Xu Shiqi, the book of History) heard of the loss and threw her three-year-old son into the river to die. Ni Fu was sent to Hangzhou, and the governor of Qing Dynasty advised him to surrender. He was strictly refused, so he was put on trial. At that time, Yibing was still fighting against the Qing Dynasty in Jiangsu and Zhejiang. The governor forced Ni Fu to surrender his subordinates, but Ni Fu vowed not to obey. On the fifth day of August, he died with Wu Yi at the river margin of houchaomen in Hangzhou, and his family property was lost.
