Yang Fengming (1893-1966) was born in Lushun (now Lushunkou District, Dalian City) on November 26, 1893. He was born in Dagu, Tianjin. Member of the Democratic League. In 1916, he was admitted to Fengtian (now Shenyang) South Manchuria medical school. After graduating in 1919, he served as a physician in Dalian hospital of South Manchuria Railway Co., Ltd. In 1921, he and Fu Liyu established the "Dalian Chinese Youth Association" and was elected vice president.
Life
In 1920, Yang Fengming was recommended by Dalian hospital of Manchurian Railway to study in the medical department of Imperial University of Japan for two years. After returning to China, he served as the director of internal medicine in tongshou hospital, a new branch of Dalian hospital. In 1923, he was elected vice president of "Dalian Chinese Youth Association". In 1931, he resigned from his official post and opened Qishan hospital in xiaogangzi (now Beijing street, Xigang District), Dalian.
Yang Fengming keeps improving in medicine, is rigorous in scholarship, and is enthusiastic in training late students. He has trained dozens of doctors. He is also proficient in the languages of Japan, Britain and Germany, and also has attainments in literature. In 1945, a collection of Qishan poems was published to express one's ambition with poems.
After the liberation of Dalian, Yang Fengming actively advocated and contacted with his colleagues, such as Zhang fengshu, Jian Rennan and Wang Yixin, to form the Dalian Medical Association, and was elected as the president of the association. It played an important role in establishing the medical academic group of Dalian, assisting the democratic government to recommend personnel to receive the enemy and puppet hospitals, and ensuring the normal operation of the hospitals in Dalian. In April 1947, when the Kanto office was established, he was appointed director of the Department of health. In order to concentrate on his work, he suspended Qishan hospital, presided over the formulation of a number of health management rules and decrees in Kanto, and held the examination and certification of Chinese and Western doctors. He also organized medical teams to the northeast to support the war of liberation. In 1951, he was transferred to the municipal hospital as the director of internal medicine. Since 1952, he has successively compiled some manuscripts of the English Chinese dictionary with 130000 data. In the early 1960s, his papers on blood group research of Chinese nation and blood group research of human race were cited as important documents by hematology circles in China and Britain.

Yang Fengming has been a doctor for more than 50 years. He works hard, studious and knowledgeable, and has made great contributions to the development of medical and health undertakings in Dalian.
At the beginning of the "Cultural Revolution", Yang Fengming was persecuted. On September 3, 1966, he died at the age of 73.
In April 1979, the organization rehabilitated Yang Fengming.
