Yangling agricultural high tech industry demonstration zone, or Yangling Demonstration Zone for short, belongs to Shaanxi Province. It is located in the middle of Guanzhong Plain in Shaanxi Province and 85 km west of Xi'an city. Its geographical coordinates are between 107 ° 59 ′ - 108 ° 08 ′ E and 34 ° 14 ′ - 34 ° 20 ′ n. It is bounded by Qishui River in the east of Dazhuang town of Wugong County, across Weihe River in the south of Yabai town of Zhouzhi County and Jianghe River in the west of Fufeng County Zhangzhen is adjacent to Wugong town of Wugong County and Xinglin town of Fufeng County in the north. It is about 16 km long from east to west and 7 km wide from north to south, with a total area of 135 square kilometers and an urban planning area of 35 square kilometers. Historical evolution

Yang's mausoleum is named after the mausoleum of Emperor Wen of Sui Dynasty.

Yangling has a long history. It was the hometown of the Tai tribe from the 21st century BC to the 16th century BC.

According to the records of zhoubenji in Shiji, more than 4000 years ago, Houji, the earliest agricultural official in Chinese history, was here to "teach the people how to farm and plant grain". Yangling became one of the birthplaces of Chinese agriculture.

In the Han Dynasty, Yangling was under the jurisdiction of Fufeng.

During the Wei period of the Three Kingdoms, it belonged to Wugong County.

In the Jin Dynasty, it was called Shihping county.

In the Northern Zhou Dynasty, it was a territory of Yongzhou.

Yangling town was established in 1956.

It was changed into Yangling commune in 1959.

Yangling special zone was established in 1979.

In 1982, it was renamed Yangling District, under the jurisdiction of Baoji City.

In 1983, it was assigned to Xianyang city.

In 1997, the Management Committee of the national Yangling agricultural high tech industry demonstration zone was established in Yangling District. It is a department level institution and an agency directly under the provincial government. It has the administrative power at the prefecture level and the economic management power at the provincial level. Yangling District is a public institution at the county level, which belongs to the Management Committee of the demonstration zone.

In 2006, it was named national ecological demonstration zone by the Ministry of environmental protection.

On August 14, 2008, with the approval of the State Council, Ruogu Township, Fufeng County, Baoji City was put under the jurisdiction of Yangling District. This marked that Rougu township was officially assigned to Yangling Demonstration Zone.

Among them, the annual water inflow of Baojixia main canal is 2.3 million cubic meters, Weihui canal is 3.595 million cubic meters, Baojixia second branch canal is 9.171 million cubic meters, and Weihe Tanmin weir is 613000 cubic meters.
