Du Jian, a native of Liang Dynasty, was once the prefect of the border town and the sixth ancestor of Du Fu.

Du Jian was the son of Shi Du Qianguang, the right chief of situ in Qi Dynasty. He was the prefect of liangbian city in Southern Dynasty.

His son, Du Shupi, was the governor of xiazhou in the Northern Zhou Dynasty; his son, Du Yushi, was the magistrate of Gongjia County of Hanoi County in Sui Dynasty; his great grandson, Du Yiyi, was the magistrate of Neigong County in Tang Dynasty; his great grandson, Du Shenyan, was the direct bachelor of Xiuwen Library in Tang Dynasty; then Du Xiansheng, Du Fu, was a member of the inspection department of Tang Dynasty.
