Du Yu (1764-1859) was born in Binzhou, Shandong Province. In the sixth year of Jiaqing, he was a Jinshi. He once served in the Imperial Academy. He was released to Shuntian and Zhejiang to study politics. He was transferred to the cabinet as a bachelor, and served as a minister in the Ministry of rites, the Ministry of war and the Ministry of official affairs. Du Yu is intelligent and studious. He is diligent and diligent. He is good at poetry and painting. He was diligent in writing all his life, and wrote 17 kinds of works, including the collection of Sui Chu's cottages. He died in 1858 (the eighth year of Xianfeng) and died in 1996. Emperor Xianfeng went to the memorial ceremony in person, presented his bachelor degree, posthumous title Wenduan, and worshipped Xianliang temple.
Life of the characters
In 1790 (the 55th year of Qianlong's reign), Emperor Qianlong toured Mount Tai. He was the first to call for an examination and bestowed gifts to all. In 1801 (the sixth year of Jiaqing), he was a Jinshi, and the next year he was awarded the Imperial Academy editor. In 1815 (the 20th year of Jiaqing), he was appointed Shuntian Xuezheng. In 1819 (the 24th year of Jiaqing), he served as cabinet bachelor and Minister of rites. In 1821 (the first year of Daoguang), he served as the right servant of the military department, and then served as the academic administrator of Zhejiang Province. In 1835 (the 15th year of Daoguang), because of his old age, the emperor was transferred from the Ministry of war to the Ministry of rites, which had less official duties, to serve as the left servant. He also granted permission that he did not have to go to the Yamen frequently for recuperation. The next year, he asked for sick leave at home, while recuperating, while committed to writing. In 1849 (the 29th year of Daoguang), he went to the banquet of Lu Ming again, adding the title of crown prince. In 1852 (the second year of Xianfeng), Du Shoutian, his only son, died in qingjiangpu, Jiangsu Province because he supervised the relief work in Shandong and Jiangnan. When he lost his son in his old age, he was so sad that the imperial court gave him the title of minister of rites as a consolation. He died of illness in 1858. Emperor Xianfeng went to the memorial ceremony and presented his posthumous title as Wenduan.
According to the ancient road, that is to say, it gives people the moral integrity advocated in ancient times. The plaque was left at the bottom of yayang Pagoda in Taishun. It was inscribed by Zhejiang Xuezheng Du Bi for Ji Qifang's 80 year old father.
Literary achievements
Du Yu is a long-lived poet who lived in Qianlong, Jiaqing, Daoguang and Xianfeng dynasties. He is the leader of Shandong literary circle. His masterpiece, the collection of poems in the early Sui Dynasty, is the collection of his poems.
Family situation
Du Yu, his son Du Shoutian, his grandson Du Han, and his great grandson Du Tingchen were all selected into the Hanlin academy, which is known as "father son five Hanlin" in history.
