Liu Degong (Korean:
유득공
From December 24, 1748 to October 1, 1807), named HuiFu and Huifeng, named lingzhai, Lingan, geshanglou, Guyun Jushi, guyuntang and enhuitang. In 1784, a historian of the Korean Dynasty, he first proposed in the preface of his book Bohai Kao that Bohai State was the "northern state" confronting the North and south of Silla in Korean history. It is believed that Bohai State is the successor of Koguryo, and the unification of Silla is the predecessor of Koguryo Dynasty. Liu Degong, together with PU Qijia, Li Demao and Li shujiu, is known as the "four schools of Sinology".
