Li Yin
Li Yin, whose name is Yumei, is a native of Shunyang (now ligunqiao Town, Xichuan County, Henan Province), the younger brother of Li Yu and the son of Li Zongmu.
In 1564, he was appointed magistrate of Wanping county (Xian Ling Chang'an), and later moved to the head of the household department. A eunuch's mother killed a man and was severely punished by Li Yin. The eunuch Feng Bao, the Minister of rites, summoned him and ignored him.
Li Yin and Li Guanqiao: the predecessor of Li Guanqiao was Shunyang town. During the Ming Dynasty, a simple wooden bridge on Danjiang River served as a channel to connect the villagers on both sides of Shunyang town. However, whenever there was a flood in summer, the small bridge would be washed down or submerged by the flood, which brought great inconvenience to the villagers on both sides. Seeing the inconvenience that villagers suffered every year, Shunyang literati Li Zongmu and Han Li Xuan, the censor of the forestry academy, Li Yin, the head of the criminal department, and his father and son donated their salaries to build a stone bridge on the Danjiang River in their hometown. In order to show their respect for the Li family official, the villagers called the bridge Li Guan bridge. Over time, people here use Li Guanqiao to call the place where they live.
