Li Fang

Li Fang (May 1969 to June 13, 2018), female, Han nationality, CPC member, was a teacher of lvzhifeng hope primary school in Dongjiahe Town, Shihe District, Xinyang City, Henan Province.

On the afternoon of June 11, 2018, Li Fang was escorting the students home from school. In the face of a sudden traffic accident, she resolutely pushed the students away, leaving the students' hope and danger to herself. The four injured students were all right after rescue, but Li Fang died at 4:40 a.m. on June 13 due to ineffective rescue.

On June 22, 2018, the Ministry of Education awarded Li Fang the honorary title of "national excellent teacher" of lvzhifeng hope primary school teacher in Dongjiahe Town, Shihe District, Xinyang City, Henan Province, calling on teachers and educators across the country to learn from Comrade Li Fang. In July 2018, rural female teachers were selected into the list of good people in China for their deeds of protecting students from "flying cars". Li Fang won the title of the most beautiful teacher in 2018.

In September 2018, Henan Daily published a long reportage "You Ying Shan Hong in the mountains" in memory of Li Fang.

Life of the characters

Li Fang was born in 1969. After graduating from Xinyang Normal School in 1989, he was assigned to xiefan primary school in the remote area of Dongjiahe Town, Shihe District, Xinyang City. After the school was withdrawn, xiefan primary school has been transferred to lvzhifeng hope primary school. In the past 30 years of teaching, Li Fang has always been strict with herself with the standard of excellent teachers. While serving as a subject teacher, she has also worked in the positions of head teacher and young pioneers counselor. Before she died, she won 22 commendations and awards for excellent head teacher, teaching expert and excellent counselor.

Character events

At 17:30 on June 11, 2018, lvzhifeng hope primary school in Dongjiahe Town, Shihe District, Xinyang City finished school normally. Li Fang, a sophomore Chinese teacher, escorted the students home from west to East. At 17:51, the road guard went to the traffic light intersection 50 meters away from the school, and Li Fang organized the students to pass in order according to the green light. However, at this time, an unlicensed motorcycle tricycle full of watermelons suddenly ran a red light and sped to the convoy without any sign of braking. In an emergency, Li Fang rushed up to block the students with her body while calling for them to avoid. She pushed them away. However, she was knocked down by a motorcycle tricycle and was unconscious. At the same time, four other students could not avoid being injured. 　

At about 18:30, the injured teachers and students were sent to the 154 Hospital of Xinyang people's Liberation Army. After the initial diagnosis of the hospital examination, 4 students rescued by Li Fang are not seriously affected. Subsequently, four students were transferred to Xinyang Central Hospital for further diagnosis. After CT examination in 154 hospital, Li Fang was diagnosed with skull fracture and massive hemorrhage of brain tissue. Li Fang was transferred to the central hospital at 20 o'clock after seeking advice from her family. After the examination of experts in the Central Hospital, Li Fang was diagnosed with brainstem hemorrhage, but it was not suitable for surgery, only for supportive treatment and observation. In order to further improve the treatment, Li Fang's CT examination report was sent to Wuhan Union Medical College Hospital and Wuhan Tongji Hospital for expert consultation. According to the expert diagnosis of the two hospitals, Li Fang's physical condition is not suitable for long-distance transfer for surgical treatment. Finally, despite the full rescue of medical staff, Li Fang's life was not saved. She died on duty at 4:40 a.m. on June 13. 　

Characters and deeds

Li Fang, who taught at lvzhifeng hope primary school in Dongjiahe town. Over the past 29 years, she has been deeply rooted in the countryside and has always stuck to the front line of education and teaching. She is conscientious, dedicated and deeply loved by students and parents.

Character honor

In recognition of Li Fang's heroic deeds, the Ministry of education granted her the honorary title of "national excellent teacher". At the same time, it required the national education system to carry out in-depth learning activities from Comrade Li Fang. The CPC Xinyang Municipal Committee decided to carry out learning activities from Comrade Li Fang in the whole city, and posthumously awarded Li Fang as "the outstanding communist party member of the whole city", and the people's Government of Xinyang posthumously awarded Li Fang as "the outstanding people's teacher". 　

On June 21, 2018, the human resources and Social Security Department of Henan Province and the Education Department of Henan Province jointly issued a document today, deciding to award Comrade Li Fang "excellent teacher of Henan Province".
