Li Ying
Li Ying is a character in Outlaws of the marsh, nicknamed "putiandiao", who was born in Yunzhou and was originally the leader of Lijiazhuang. He once wrote to ZHUJIAZHUANG and asked for Shiqian, but he was rejected by ZHUJIAZHUANG. When he was fighting with Zhu Biao, he was hurt by a hidden arrow, so he had a bad relationship with ZHUJIAZHUANG. After Liangshan attacked ZHUJIAZHUANG, he cheated his family into Liangshan. When Liangshan got together, he was one of the 108 generals, ranking 11th. He was in charge of money and grain. After levying fangla, he was given the command of Yunzhou capital of Zhongshan Prefecture. Later, he resigned and returned to his hometown to become a rich man again.

Character origin
Li Ying is a member of Yunzhou family. He is good at using huntie to point a steel gun and carrying five throwing knives. He can pick people up in a hundred steps and haunt them. He is called "Putian Diao". He was the leader of Li family village in dulonggang. He formed an alliance with Zhu family village and Hu family village to resist Liangshanpo. He once agreed to help each other in case of an accident.
Li Zhu has a bad relationship
Yang Xiong, Shi Xiu and Shi Qian went to Liangshan and stayed in the Inn by way of ZHUJIAZHUANG. However, they ate the crow cock of the inn. They made a big fuss in ZHUJIAZHUANG because of verbal discord and set fire to the village inn. After Shiqian was captured by ZHUJIAZHUANG, Yang Xiong and Shi Xiuqiao met Du Xing. Du Xing was in charge of Li Jiazhuang. Because Yang Xiong had been kind to him, he introduced them to Li Ying. Yang Xiong asked Li Yingxiu to write to Zhu Jiazhuang to get back Shiqian. Li Ying agreed with emotion and offered them wine.
Li yingrang sent a letter to Mr. Menguan. After signing his name, he ordered the deputy director to send it to ZHUJIAZHUANG, but ZHUJIAZHUANG refused to let anyone go. Li Ying had to write a letter himself and then ordered Du Xing to go. Zhu Jiazhuang still does not let the time change, Zhu Biao also tore up Li Ying's letters, claiming that Li Ying would be a strong bandit in Liangshan and sent to the government.
Li Yingwen was so angry that he ordered three hundred zhuangers and went straight to ZHUJIAZHUANG to fight with Zhu Biao. Zhu Biao was defeated in the battle of the 17th and 8th National Congress. Li Ying ran after his horse, but was shot in the arm by Zhu Biao's Secret arrow. He was injured and fell off the horse. Fortunately, Yang Xiong and Shi Xiu snatched him back. Since then, Li Jiazhuang and Zhu Jiazhuang have had a bad relationship. Seeing that Li Ying failed to recover Shi Qian, Yang Xiong left and went to Liangshanpo for help. Li Ying also presented gold and silver.
Forced to fall grass
Song Jiang's attack on ZHUJIAZHUANG failed. At Yang Xiong's suggestion, he went to see Li Ying and planned to discuss countermeasures with him. Li Ying, however, declined to see Song Jiang and refused to accept gifts on the ground that he was ill in bed and his arm had not been healed. Since then, Li has always stood by and refused to send troops to rescue Liangshan's attack on ZHUJIAZHUANG.
After conquering ZHUJIAZHUANG, Wu ordered Xiao rang to disguise himself as the magistrate of Yunzhou, and bound Li Ying and Du Xing to the prefecture on the ground that ZHUJIAZHUANG sued Li Ying for collusion with Liangshan, and then robbed them on the way to Liangshan. When Li Ying asked to go down the mountain, he learned that his family members had been taken to the stronghold, and Li Jiazhuang had been burned to the ground. When he saw that his way back was exhausted, he had to stay in Liangshan.
Liangshan Juyi
Li Ying, together with Du Xing and Jiang Jing, took charge of the money, grain, gold and silk of the mountain stronghold. Later, he took part in the expedition to Huazhou and made a big disturbance in Huashan with Songjiang.
After succeeding as the leader of Liangshan stronghold, Song Jiang set up four dry strongholds around Zhongyi hall. Li Ying ranks first in the Qianjun village. Later, he led the army with Shi Jin and Sun Xin and served as the fourth vanguard.
In order to solve the siege of Beijing, Guan Sheng led the army to attack Liangshan. Hearing the news, Song Jiang quickly withdrew his troops to help him, and captured Guan Sheng with a plan. Li Ying rushed into the military stronghold, rescued the captured Zhang Heng, Ruan Xiaoqi and others, and captured Yiying's food, grass and horses.
When he outwitted Daming mansion, Li Ying disguised himself as a guest, sneaked into Beijing as an internal agent, and captured the East Gate with Shi Jin.
When Liangshan was ranked 11th, Li Ying, with the star tianfuxing, was in charge of money and grain with Chai Jin.
fight north and south
After Liangshan was recruited, Li Ying followed song Jiangnan in the Northern Expedition and made great achievements.
Li Ying assisted Zhao to appease him and stayed in Tanzhou. After that, Guan Sheng conquered the Saturn array in the Taiyi mixed astronomical array.
Li should guard Lingchuan County together with Chai Jin when fighting against Tian Hu. In the simplified version of the outlaws of the marsh, Li Ying once followed Lu Junyi to break through the Yumen pass and stabbed Mu Hui, the general of Datong pass who was defeated and fled here.
During the expedition against Wang Qing, Li Ying and Chai Jin escorted grain and grass to the front line. On the way, they met an ambush in Longmen Mountain. He cooperated with Chai Jin to kill Huaixi general Huo with artillery. Among the outlaws of the marsh, Li Ying, Lu Junyi and Chai Jin ambushed in Liusha River, north of Qinzhou. They blocked the river with warships and captured the bandit leader Wang Qing.
During the expedition against Fang La, Li Ying led Kong Ming, Kong Liang, Shi en and Du Xing to Jiangyin, Taicang and other places to help the water army fight. During the war of muzhou, Wu Yingxing was killed with a flying knife.
Character ending
After Jiangnan was pacified, Li Ying returned to Beijing and was granted the title of general Wu Jie and the command of Yunzhou capital of Zhongshan Prefecture. After six months in office, hearing about Chai Jin's retirement, he said that he was suffering from wind palsy. He accepted the official certificate and returned to his hometown, dulonggang. He became a rich man with Du Xing, and finally died well.
Name source
Li Ying was one of the thirty-six leaders of Song Jiang's subordinates in the song and Yuan Dynasties. At the same time, in Gong Kai's Song Jiang 36 people's praise, Li Ying was also among them. The praise said that "the bird is strong, but the carving is the most cunning.". Do not fly in the sky, seal the fox in the grass. These two literary works are considered to be the prototype or blueprint of outlaws of the marsh, and also the earlier source of Li Ying.
In the Yuan drama "Liangshan five tigers rob prison", Li Ying has appeared as a hero of Liangshan, but he is a young warrior, quite different from the middle-aged rich man in the novel "outlaws of the marsh". Han Bolong, the protagonist in the play, is quite similar to Li Ying in the novel in his image of a rich man and his experience of being forced to climb the mountain.
Elegant nickname
The nickname "Putian Diao" is derived from "Pinghua of King Wu's cutting of Zhou": "King Zhou's total Daji was on the stage, enjoying himself in the daytime.
