Life of the characters
In the second year of song Jianyan's reign (1128), he was a Jinshi and a counsellor of the Privy Council. Later, he served as a general judge of Zhangzhou and Quanzhou (now Fujian Province). In the third year of Shaoxing (1133), the Jin soldiers colluded with the leader of Xitong (the tribal ruler, then known as the barbarian) in Jiaozhi (today's Vietnam) to invade the frontier. They forged official documents in an attempt to get the spies in. Border officials found that the seal of "Caotai in Guangxi" in the official document was false, and then reported it to Guangxi Dao (administrative organ above prefecture level). The Taoist official thought that Yu Liangbi was decisive, so he was transferred to Caotai (the official in charge of water transport) in Guangxi to deal with it. Yu Liangbi rushed to the border area to find out the spies in time and punish them, which strengthened the defense of the border area and made the barbarians dare not invade. Later, he was promoted to the magistrate of Jingjiang and managed Guangxi. He worked hard in his post and "reduced dujue, banned slave trafficking, stroked Zhudong, wiped out bandits, and managed to be effective" (Shunchang County annals · people by Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty). He was well received by the local people for his honesty, resisting bribery, punishing slave trafficking, and safeguarding the interests of ethnic minorities. Later transferred to the direct secret Pavilion. Yu Liangbi collected ten thousand volumes of books and wrote a preface to teach his descendants. He is the author of Longshan anthology. Yu Liangbi once wrote a poem to teach his son, in which Kuang Heng chiseled a wall to steal light and Lu Wenshu wrote a story of diligent study to encourage his son to study hard, hoping that his son would cherish time and succeed in learning.
