Li Jiamou was born on August 2, 1916. He joined the Communist Party of China in 1956. In 1956 and 1959, he attended the National Congress of advanced producers twice and was rated as the national advanced producer. He died of cancer in 1974 at the age of 58.

Li Jiamou was born on August 2, 1916. He lost his father at the age of 8, and the whole family lived on his mother's mulberry and silkworm rearing. After finishing junior high school in Yuqi middle school, he dropped out of school because of family financial difficulties.
In the summer of the 23rd year of the Republic of China, he was introduced to Shanghai Machinery Factory as an accountant, and then returned home due to illness. The next year, introduced by his neighbor Zheng Xiangde, he joined Wuxi Shenxin No.3 textile factory as an intern and studied machinery manufacturing. On the eve of the Japanese occupation of Wuxi, they took refuge in Chongqing and worked in the Tongxin brewery set up by Zheng Xiangde. Later, he transferred to Fuxing iron factory as a technician and worked as a designer of spinning frames exported to India.
In the 32 years of the Republic of China, he was the workshop director of Jianxin machinery factory. Later, he went back to Tongxin brewery as a public engineer. In the spring of the 36th year of the Republic of China, he returned to Wuxi from Chongqing and worked in Wuxi Qingfeng textile factory as the foreman of the cotton cleaning workshop of the textile department.

After liberation, Li Jiamou served as the chief of the security section of the textile department, the deputy director of the investigation and statistics office and the mechanical security department of the textile department, the director of the scientific research office, the director of the mechanical and electrical workshop, the chief of the production technology section, and the full-time engineer in Qingfeng textile factory (later changed to the second national cotton factory).
In 1954, when he was the deputy director of No.1 spinning workshop, in order to save cotton, he worked with technicians and workers to design and manufacture fiber impurity separator to solve the key problem of excessive impurities in the reuse of lower cotton, directly reduce raw cotton consumption, and save 480000 Jin of cotton per year, equivalent to more than 80000 yuan. In the second year, the Ministry of textile industry awarded the red flag as a reward.
He has also been rated as a model worker in Jiangsu Province and Wuxi City for many times. In the later technical transformation, he worked with the workers to change the compound cleaner into one-way cleaner, which improved the quality of cotton coils and shortened the process flow. In the mechanical maintenance work, he improved more than ten maintenance technologies, such as the maintenance of the curved rail and the cover head of the carding machine, and improved the production efficiency and utilization rate of the mechanical equipment.
