Located in Nan'ao County of Shantou City, those who have watched the TV series "a dream of Red Mansions" still remember the meteorite at the beginning of the film, which "there is no talent to mend the sky, and it will be wasted in the world of mortals for a long time". That is the giant rock in the rock. Entering the scenic area, the first thing you can see is the hillside on the west side, which is like a huge stone flying from the sky. It is firmly placed on another huge stone, which is the stone folding wonder on Nan'ao Island. It is reminiscent of the story of Nuwa's family, who was left behind under Qinggeng peak after the days of stone making. Nearly 100 meters down the Dieshi slope is the famous dieshiyan temple at home and abroad. The temple was founded by Shi Renzhi, an eminent monk from yunao laoyuan village, Nan'ao Island.

brief introduction
Dieshiyan, a famous religious temple known as "Tiannan farru", is located in the valley surrounded by peaks in the Guanxi side group of Xiongzhen town on the ridge at the junction of Yunnan and Shenzhen on the east peninsula of Nan'ao Island. From xiongzhenguan in the deep cloud of Nan'ao Island in Shantou, Guangdong Province, you can drive about 2 kilometers westward to the mountains. It was founded by the eminent monk Shi Renzhi (1813-1902.11.8) in 1845, and is the ancestral hall of Huangbo sect of Chaozhou people at home and abroad. On the top of the mountain on the right side of the Buddhist temple, there are two huge stones stacked majestically, which is very strange, so it is called Dieshi.
history
Special, so it's called Dieshi.
history
In the late Qing Dynasty, when the founder of Renzhi was founded, only the natural stone cave was used as the Buddha Hall, and the underground passage on the west side was used as the Zen house
The hall is a kitchen and dining room. In 1912, two East closed houses were established. In front of the Buddha Hall on the west side of 67 meters outside the slope,
Build Prajna hall. Then, the monk's house and kitchen were built in the East. From 1944 to the year of Yue, abbot Shi Chengxi (1903-1928, born in DAHAO) raised money, carried stones and earth, and rebuilt the hall with the stone wall carved with the word "Fu" on the west side of the hall. In 1959, the abbot was expelled because of "the need of coastal defense war preparedness", the Vatican was destroyed and turned into a cattle pen and sheep pen; trees and precious flowers were cut down, and only the Buddha Hall and stone Fu Zi hall in the natural stone cave survived because there were no rafters to remove, but they were also devastated. After the gang of four was smashed in 1976, the land came back to life. From the beginning of 1986 to the summer of 1988, with donations from Renzhi Yisun and master Dingyin of Hong Kong (1918-1995) and sponsored by Abbot Shi HongJue (1921-1995, Chaozhou City), the Prajna hall, monk's house, kitchen, wall and Buddha Hall were rebuilt, but they are still simple and small, which is not commensurate with the great reputation of ancient rock.
In 1989, when master Dinggen, a descendant of renzu, who was then the executive director of the provincial Buddhist Association and vice president of the municipal Buddhist Association, went to visit his ancestors, the leader of the Nanao county Party committee and the United Front Work Department proposed to expand the area. The foundation was laid on September 19, 1991. After two years, the temple of jade Buddha was built by filling the deep valley, and the platform was arched to hold the four heavenly kings. The new buildings of the monk's house faced each other, the flyover railings were secluded, the glazed red walls were dazzling, the carved beams and painted buildings were colorful, and the ancient rocks took on a new look.
On the morning of September 24, 1993 (the ninth day of August), a grand opening ceremony was held for the completion of the expansion of the Jade Buddha Temple.
In March 1999, a nine story pagoda of the Thousand Buddhas was built on the mountain to the east of the gate. It was completed in May and opened in August.

Introduction to scenic spots
About 2km west of guanxi, the Xiongzhen town in the middle of the eastern half of Nan'ao, is the boundary of Ma'anshan on the east wing of Guolao mountain. When you look at the rolling mountains from afar, the first thing you can see is the huge stone flying from the sky on the hillside on the west side. It is firmly placed on another huge stone, which is the stone folding wonder on Nan'ao Island. It is reminiscent of the story of Nuwa's Lingtong stubborn stone left behind by the queen of stone refining and mending at the foot of Qinggeng peak. Nearly 100 meters down the Dieshi slope is the famous dieshiyan temple at home and abroad. The temple was founded by Shi Renzhi, an eminent monk from yunao laoyuan village, Nan'ao Island.
origin
In the last years of Daoguang reign of Qing Dynasty, in order to have a place for self-cultivation, Shi Zhiren came here from the Buddhist temple of Xiongzhen pass, where he was a monk. He found that there were grotesque rocks all around, beautiful spring in the middle, yunao mountain and sea in the south, with little sails and waves in the vast area. On the north side of the mountain, there were more natural caves that could accommodate many people. It was cool and refreshing, and a fresh spring came out of the gap. It was a natural blessed place. The monk Renzhi was overjoyed, so he chiseled out a stone chamber with amazing perseverance. One was used as a Zen room, and the other was used as a living room. He carved a regular script "Fu" with a diameter of nearly 2 meters on the rock wall inside the cave. Outside the Zen house, the rock wall on the top of the door is engraved with the word "dieshiyan". It is said that Shi Zhiren is a profound Taoist and proficient in Buddhism. In his youth, he went abroad to study and was employed as the abbot of Xianqin temple in Yixing County, Jiangsu Province. Master Xuyun, a famous monk, visited the temple to learn Taoism. When Shi Renzhi returned to dieshiyan, many worshippers gathered. Since then, there have been more and more people who have gained the Zen, and a large number of high-ranking disciples have emerged. Dieshiyan temple has also been gradually expanded. The relatively large-scale reconstruction was carried out in 1990 and 1992 respectively. Shi Dinggen, the grandson of dieshiyan temple's owner and former president of Shantou Buddhist Association, initiated and presided over the construction of dieshiyan temple. In 1990, he renovated the dieshiyan temple, built "Prajna hall", monk's house and Waicheng, and won the plaque of "dieshiyan" by Zhao Puchu, vice chairman of the CPPCC National Committee and President of the Buddhist Society of China. French Shi Dingzhi wrote the couplet of "dieshiyan is deep in spring, but white clouds and yellow folds can be seen, and the stone road is slippery, but red leaves and green rocks can be seen" . In 1992, Shi Dinggen showed his ambition again. He built a high platform, a main hall and a Vajra in the valley to integrate the new and old buildings. In the middle of the main hall, there are three white jade Buddha statues: the Buddha Sakyamuni is about 1.7 meters high, the white jade lotus seat is about 1.08 meters high, and the Bodhisattva seats on both sides are about 2.5 meters high. The white marble statue of Guanyin standing in Guanyin Pavilion is more than 2 meters high. In the hall of Fu characters, a white jade statue of monk Renzhi sitting cross legged is for people to look forward to. The spring flowing from the side wall is called "wisdom spring". After the expansion and construction of the dieshiyan, also known as "dieshiyu Buddhist temple". They all respect dieshiyan as their ancestral hall. The four characters "Tiannan Faru" inscribed and engraved on the giant stone by Chen Guanglie, a Chaoshan scholar and chief editor of Nan'ao County annals, in 1944, contains the meaning of this Buddhist sect. Walking out of the temple gate, I was waiting to walk down the steps when I saw a 10 meter high pagoda on the left side of the slope. This is the "Thousand Buddha pagoda", named after the thousand body stone Buddha engraved on the pagoda. There is also a big Buddha standing in the cavity of the pagoda. This is the latest masterpiece of Dieshi temple. It echoes the stone folding spectacle with the word "Buddha" engraved on the west ridge, which is two meters in diameter. It has become a new landscape of Tiannan FA rudieshi rock.
