Economic situation
Yangjie township is a typical agricultural township in mountainous area. There is a certain gap between the overall level of rural economic development and the township in dam area. Planting industry is the economic pillar of Yangjie township. The main economic crops are flue-cured tobacco, sugarcane, tea, potato, vegetables and so on. The breeding industry is mainly pig, cattle, chicken and so on. In recent years, there have been farmers with a certain scale and good technical conditions. The industrial base in the township is weak, mainly wine making, food processing and construction. The third industry is mainly agriculture, forestry and animal husbandry, transportation, wholesale and retail, and catering.
The flue-cured tobacco in Yangjie township was planted sporadically before the founding of the people's Republic of China, but the planting area was small, the yield was low, and it could not form a scale, so it was mainly consumed by itself. Large scale planting appeared at the end of last century. In 1993, a total of 120.5 mu of flue-cured tobacco was planted in the township. It accounts for 0.6% of the cultivated land and its total output value reaches 102000 kg. In 1997, flue-cured tobacco planting technology was popularized in the township. In that year, 1286 mu of tobacco was planted, accounting for 5.1% of the cultivated land. The output of tobacco reached 133500 kg. The income of tobacco farmers from selling tobacco reached 1032300 yuan, and the tax revenue was 79700 yuan. Flue cured tobacco has become the economic pillar of financial growth and farmers' income increase in Yangjie township. By 2006, the planting area of flue-cured tobacco in the township was 8500 mu. Due to the variety change, area and yield reduction, and the impact of natural disasters, the total amount of tobacco sold in the township was 814500 kg, including 654500 kg of medium and high-grade tobacco, 7.326 million yuan of tobacco farmers' sales income, and 1.46 million yuan of flue-cured tobacco agricultural tax.
Sugarcane industry is a traditional industry in Yangjie township. It was planted before the founding of the people's Republic of China, but its area is small and its output is low. It is mainly the raw material of its own brown sugar. After the founding of the people's Republic of China, sugarcane industry has become the pillar industry of Yangjie Township through the vigorous development of the Party committee and the government. In 1984, the planting area was 2311 Mu and the output reached 4777 tons. At the end of last century, the township party committee and government vigorously implemented the strategy of invigorating sugarcane by science and technology, adhering to the principle of "two promotion, two improvement and one improvement", that is, to promote fine varieties, promote scientific and technological measures, increase yield per unit area, increase sugar content and improve infrastructure. In 2002, the planting area of sugarcane reached 12528 mu, and the industrial output was 52900 tons, an increase of 26000 tons over 2001, an increase of 64%, reaching a new high in history.
Before the founding of the people's Republic of China, farmers in Yangjie Township raised large livestock, live pigs and poultry, which were mainly used for farming, fattening and their own food, and the number of breeding was very small. After the founding of the people's Republic of China, Yangjie Township attached great importance to the development of animal husbandry and formulated a series of incentive policies and incentive measures. In 1978, the Township animal husbandry Zengyi station was set up to carry out animal disease prevention and quarantine work. In 2002, the piglet breeding base of Yangjie township was built to actively introduce and improve varieties and promote scientific breeding technology. After decades of development, the breeding industry of Yangjie township has gradually developed and expanded. The breeding industry mainly composed of piglets, cattle and sheep has shown a rapid development momentum, and a new trend has emerged Batch of farmers with a certain scale and technical conditions. In 2005, Yangjie Township, relying on the professional pig raising cooperatives and the piglet demonstration farm of Yangjie Township, organized and implemented the "double push, eight reform" feeding supporting technology for farmers, improved the breeding level, and increased the rate of live pigs in stock and out of stock. In 2006, there were 4203 large livestock on hand and 565 on sale; 12184 live pigs on hand and 9537 on sale; 2271 goats on hand and 650 on sale; the output of poultry meat was 50600 kg and that of eggs was 29300 kg; the total annual output of meat was 941900 kg.
Vegetables are the new bright spot of increasing farmers' income. Before liberation, the scale of vegetable cultivation was small, and the Hani people did not have the habit of planting vegetables. They only planted vegetables sporadically in Yangjie village and ate them at home. If they had any surplus, they would take them to the market for sale. After the founding of the people's Republic of China, although it has changed, it is still mainly consumed at home and can not become a commodity. In 1985, under the guidance of governments at all levels, 423 mu of vegetables were planted in the township, with an output of 273000 kg. In recent years, the Party committee and government of Yangjie township have attached great importance to the development of vegetable industry, making full use of the advantages of fresh air, rich water resources and pollution-free environment of Yangjie township. In 1993, a vegetable base with Donggualin village as the center was gradually formed, and the surrounding villages were radiated. In that year, 180 mu of vegetables were planted with a yield of 341 kg per unit area and a total yield of 61500 kg. In 2002, 564 mu of vegetables were planted in the township, with a yield of 1195 kg per unit area and a total yield of 633700 kg. Yangjie township has gradually become the vegetable production base of the county. In 2006, the vegetable planting area reached 3954 mu, with a total yield of 1.3816 million kg, which not only meets the needs of the whole Township, but also sells well in and out of the county. At the same time, we signed an order with Tonghai Hongbin company for agriculture, following the pattern of company plus farmers, introducing 1000 mu of millet and pepper, 300 mu of Prince pepper, and 200 mu of "825". The whole Township planted 1500 mu of pepper, with an average yield of 860 kg, an average output value of 1521 yuan per mu, and pepper farmers' income of 2.282 million yuan, so as to achieve the goal of win-win for enterprises and pepper farmers. In 2009, 2000 mu of vegetable peas were planted in the township.
Forestry and fruit industry. The forestry and fruit industry is a new industry cultivated by the township party committee and government in recent years. Taking the planting of high-quality pickled walnut as a breakthrough, the forestry and fruit industry is striving to become a follow-up industry for farmers to increase their income. In 2006, focusing on the two village committees of Gelong and Bamu, the planting area of 1000 mu has been completed, 56213 high-quality pickled walnut seedlings have been purchased, and 3513.4 Mu have been transplanted.
