Forest of Steles in Guihai

Guihai stele forest is a key cultural relic protection unit in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It is located at the south foot of yaoguangfeng, Yueya mountain, Qixing Park, Xiaodongjiang River, Guilin city. It consists of two stone carvings, longyindong cave and longyinyan. Here, there are "endless stones on the wall" and a forest of inscriptions. Guilin stone carvings are the fifth batch of national key cultural relics protection units.

There are more than 220 stone carvings, covering politics, economy, military affairs, documents, ethnic relations, etc. The forms include poetry, Qufu, inscriptions, couplets, images, etc. The calligraphy style includes regular script, grass, official script and seal script.

characteristic

The earliest is the song of azalea by Zhang Jun and Liu Chonggui in the first year of qianning (894). There are more than 130 steles in Song Dynasty. The famous stele "Yuanyou Dangji" reflects the internal struggle of the ruling class in the late Northern Song Dynasty. It is the only complete one in China and has high historical value. The inscription of pingman's three generals records the historical facts of the Song Dynasty when Di Qing and Yu Jing pacified Nong Zhigao against the imperial court. Mei Zhi's "long Tu Mei Gong miasma theory" pointedly points out that the source of "people's resentment and God's anger" is the "five miasma" commonly existing in the official group, and "it's not absurd that officials may not know that they are due to the soil miasma"!

Guo Moruo read, praised as "Meigong miasma said police people.". Shi Manqing (Yannian) has 28 characters in the title of Shuye Daoqing, which is a rare product handed down from generation to generation. Mi Fu, Cheng Jie, Zhu Yan, Zhang Xian, Fang Xinru, Zhou Jinlong of Ming Dynasty and Xie Qikun of Qing Dynasty all have high artistic level. The statue of Avalokitesvara in the fourth year of Kangxi reign of the Qing Dynasty (1665) has fine lines and a plump face. There are three small head portraits on the bun pile, a small eye between the forehead and two beards on the lips. The image is very strange. The word "Buddha" written in Qing Dynasty is a combination of calligraphy and painting. It is of unique ingenuity and great appreciation value. A stele pavilion has been built on the left side of longyinyan to display the poems, songs and Fu of Guilin landscape sung by cultural celebrities of all dynasties, as well as the inscriptions and rubbings inscribed and remembered.

The early stone inscriptions of longyindong are the poems of azalea by Zhang Jun and Liu Chonggui of Tang Dynasty and the poems of longyindong by Fang Xinru of Song Dynasty. In the early Song Dynasty, the Sakya temple was built in longyinyan, and then the Yiluan Pavilion and Huancui Pavilion were built. In the Ming Dynasty, the zhunti Pavilion and the Vientiane Pavilion were built one after another. The famous people of all ages have come here to write titles, poems, inscriptions, calligraphy and paintings, sing about the mountains and rivers, express their feelings, and form a forest of stone tablets with almost all the cliffs and endless walls. It shows a colorful historical picture and is a rich historical book of stone inscriptions. The poem "Mi Fu Cheng festival's poem" carved on longyinyan is very precious. The existing stele of Yuanyou Dangji by Cai Jing of Song Dynasty in longyindong records a party struggle that shocked the government and the public in the Northern Song Dynasty, among which 309 people, such as Sima Guang, Wen Yanbo, Su Shi and Qin Guan, were involved, which is of great value to the study of the history and politics of Song Dynasty. In longyinyan, there is also Shi Manqing's "the title of Shuye Daoqing" of Song Dynasty, which is engraved with 66 real characters. It is a natural, elegant, calm and extraordinary calligraphy treasure. In Longyin cave, the title of the third general of pingman written by Di Qing, a famous general of the Northern Song Dynasty, records the historical facts that he led his troops to fly across the natural danger and quell the rebellion overnight.

Rare and precious

There are thousands of important stone rubbings of other rocks in Guilin collected in the stele Pavilion of Guihai stele forest, all of which are rare and precious. Jingjiang Fucheng map is one of the two oldest existing ancient stone carving maps in China, and it is also the largest stone carving map in China. The earliest use of landscape symbols in this map is a major initiative in the history of map design. In addition, Han Yunqing's "Ode to pingman" and "stele of Shun Temple" in Tang dynasty recorded the process of pacifying pan Chang'an, chief of Xiyuan in Tang Dynasty; Kong Yanzhi's "record of burying the head of Yi thief" and Yu Jing's "stele of great song pingman" in Song dynasty recorded the situation of pacifying ou Xifan in Yizhou in Song Dynasty; Chen Mishou's "new reward storehouse" in Southern Song Dynasty and Li zengbo's "stele of fighting yuan" recorded the yuan army's attack on Yun South, Guangxi, Hunan, and the song army intercepted.

Masterpieces

In the forest of Steles in Guihai, there are many masterpieces of ancient calligraphers. Yan Zhenqing's "xiaoyaolou" list book in Tang Dynasty, Zheng Shuqi's "xinkaiduxiushan shishiji", Yan Su's title of Qixingyan seal script in Song Dynasty, Mi Fu's title of huanzhu cave and Lu You's "shizha", Ke Meng's "Yingxiang songshenqu", and Fan Chengda, Zhang Xiaoxiang, LV Shengji, Xu mengcui, Liang Anshi, Chen Dang, Chen kongshuo's inscriptions are all exquisite. In addition to high-quality products, Guilin stone carvings also have many unique products, which are amazing. Wang Jingshan of the Qing Dynasty carved a 70 cm high and 82 cm wide cursive script with Buddhist characters in longyinyan, which has attracted numerous visitors' interest for hundreds of years. From afar, it looks like an old woman in a bun, holding incense in both hands, kneeling devoutly to burn incense and worship Buddha, and cigarettes can be seen in the strokes. Recently, it is a word of "Buddha" with four strokes. This kind of similarity between the form and the meaning is really wonderful.
