Pottery and Porcelain Exhibition Hall
The porcelains on display in the museum are the most representative of the Tang, song, Liao, Jin, yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties. In the Song Dynasty, China's porcelain industry entered a period of prosperity, and reached a peak in artistic level. The five famous kilns, Ru, Jun, Guan, GE and Ding, won by glaze color and were of great value. Porcelain from Cizhou kiln and other folk kilns have their own characteristics. They pay attention to practical value and are deeply loved by people. Many kilns are in full bloom.
The porcelain of Liao Dynasty and Jin Dynasty is rough and natural, which not only has the artistic characteristics of Han nationality, but also has the heroic atmosphere of Northern Nationality. In Yuan Dynasty, with the need of overseas trade, porcelain making technology and decorative art became more mature, which laid the foundation for the high development of porcelain making technology in Ming and Qing Dynasties.
In the Ming Dynasty, with the social stability and the prosperity of urban economy, the demand for porcelain increased greatly. Jingdezhen had a wide variety of porcelain and made remarkable achievements, becoming the porcelain center of the whole country. In the Qing Dynasty, the works of Kang, Yong and Qian dynasties were the most outstanding, with exquisite workmanship, unique shapes and various varieties, reaching the peak of porcelain making history.
From time to time, the Ceramic Museum holds special exhibitions on ceramics, such as "the color of porcelain - the exhibition of ancient Chinese color glazed ware", "the pattern of porcelain - the exhibition of ancient Chinese pattern porcelain".

Under the direct influence of the palace furniture, the Qing style furniture quickly became popular in the city. The Qing palace manufacturing office gathered the skilled craftsmen from all over the world, and the emperor even directly intervened in the production of furniture. In the early Qing Dynasty, the overall prosperous and gorgeous background, Qing style furniture gradually got rid of the traditional system of Ming Dynasty and entered the society with a new look.

Chinese feudal society has a glorious history of two thousand years, which is one thousand years longer than European feudal society. Apart from the basic condition of self-sufficient natural economy, the development of handicraft industry is an important reason. Handicraft industry not only meets people's material needs, but also meets their endless spiritual needs. The craftsmanship of the past dynasties is a combination of the masterpieces of all the craftsmen in the world.
The ancients found that the cultivation of this interest lies in long-term accumulation. A round jade, pierced to tie, wearing in the body, the spiritual power followed. The literati and craftsmen felt that they had a great responsibility. Their ideas became more broad and their craft became more cautious. As time goes on, craftsmen who keep on cutting make craft an art in life.
In the Tang, song, yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties, metal technology was also renovated. Gold, silver, copper and iron, regardless of the high and low, are hammered, carved and engraved by craftsmen, which also add color to life. Decoration is the means of aesthetics. It is a great invention of Chinese people to protect and modify perishable materials with corrosion-resistant substances. From the wooden lacquer bowl of Liangzhu Culture 7000 years ago to the bronze enamel ware of Qianlong period of Qing Dynasty, the long history is constantly telling the progress of civilization to future generations.
In the Museum of Arts and crafts, there are perennial exhibitions of copper thread cutting enamel ware, copper painting enamel ware, metal statues, bronze ware, lacquerware, jade ware, wood ware, Baibao inlay and other treasures of the past dynasties, as well as a live display of "Songxi thatched cottage".
From time to time, the arts and crafts museum holds special exhibitions of Arts and crafts, such as "hundred boxes, thousand harmonies, ten thousand combinations - Exhibition of ancient Chinese boxes and utensils", "jade ware - Exhibition of ancient Chinese jade ware", etc.
Door and window Museum
In the world architecture system, Chinese ancient architecture, which is mainly based on Han culture, is the only architecture system which is mainly based on wood structure. Compared with other masonry based building systems, wood structure building has many advantages, such as convenient materials, easy processing, random space division, rich decorative techniques and so on.
There were three climaxes of Chinese ancient architectural achievements in the Qin and Han Dynasties, Tang and Song Dynasties, and Ming and Qing Dynasties, but only in terms of doors and windows, Ming and Qing dynasties had the highest achievements. It is simple and complicated symbiosis, gorgeous and simple coexistence, not only to ensure the appearance of wood structure building coordination and unity, but also to ensure the rich and casual interior decoration.
As the most important part of architecture, Chinese ancient doors and windows complement each other in function and decoration. For thousands of years, it not only made life convenient for the ancients, but also carried a lot of information of Chinese traditional culture. The doors and windows museum displays the ancient doors and windows, partition fans, fences and other building components of the houses in the Yangtze River and Yellow River Valley of Ming and Qing Dynasties. The fully open exhibition form and the idea of changing scenes make visitors feel as if they are stepping into ancient buildings.
The ancient Chinese doors and windows exhibition of Guanfu museum is one of the few unique themes in China.
