It is the location of the south city wall of Chang'an City in Tang Dynasty. With a total length of 3600 meters and a width of 100 meters, it covers an area of 540 mu. It is designed by master architect Zhang Jinqiu. Together with qujiangchi Heritage Park, it is one of the two major projects in Qujiang New Area. In 2008, it spent 4 billion yuan to build six major heritage Parks. It is a key construction project planned by Xi'an municipal government in the 11th five year plan. At the same time, there is another Tang city wall ruins park at the intersection of science and technology road and Tangyan road in Xi'an high tech Zone, which is also in the form of a street park, with a length of 3860 meters and a width of 125 meters, spanning eight intersections.

Historical status

The eight seal characters of "unprecedented" and "no one after" are used to praise the great achievements of Tang Dynasty poets.

After walking around the Tang city wall ruins park from west to East, you can see two Tang city wall ruins surrounded by more than one meter high glass walls in the northeast corner of the Tang city wall ruins park. Each of them is about 18 square meters. It is the foundation part of the city wall. According to the instruction board, the width of the wall foundation is 3.8 meters to 3.9 meters. It is built by ramming Earth twice. The walls of the Tang Dynasty were made entirely of rammed earth and were not covered with bricks.

The park has received a lot of praise and many regrets. The biggest drawback is that the theme is not strong. It seems that this is the ocean of Tang poetry, and the theme park of Tang poetry is more appropriate. If you can mark a section of the city wall on the ground, it's easier to show the walls and towers of the Tang Dynasty with murals.

Not far from Dongfang Shuo's tomb, you can see the undulating Shentou Han tombs, commonly known as "seventy-two suspected tombs", which are listed as "eight scenes of weariness", and have been scenic spots since ancient times. Yan Zhenqing, a great calligrapher of the Tang Dynasty, once served as the prefect of Lingxian County, and left the calligraphy treasure "dongfangshuo painting praise stele". Feng Jicai, a famous writer, once expressed the feeling of "what is the beauty of Lingxian, the true face of the Tang Dynasty" after his visit to Lingxian. At the same time, the stories about Dongfang Shuo and Yan Zhenqing are well-known in Lingxian. According to Yan Zhenqing, a famous historical figure in Lingxian County, the TV series Yan Zhenqing is officially closed and will be broadcast on CCTV. Previously, in August 2008, the 45 episode TV series "Dongfang Shuo" was broadcast on CCTV one set and eight sets successively. Members of the "Dongfang Shuo" crew also came to Lingxian county to hold the "Dongfang Shuo hometown Tour" activity, which caused strong repercussions throughout the country.
