Yongzhou Museum
Yongzhou museum is located at 120 Nanjin South Road, Lingling District, Yongzhou City. Yongzhou museum is a comprehensive museum and a national third-class Museum. The museum opened in October 1998 and its name was inscribed by Zhao Puchu, a contemporary calligrapher. Yongzhou Museum covers an area of 30 mu, with a construction area of 7000 square meters and an annual tourist reception of more than 100000 people.
As of August 2019, Yongzhou Museum has a cultural relics exhibition area of 2000 square meters and a cultural relics warehouse area of 1400 square meters; Yongzhou Museum has a total collection of more than 5000 pieces / set of cultural relics, mainly including the cultural relics and local folk culture in Yongzhou City; Yongzhou Museum has 6 basic exhibitions, namely "Yongzhou Yao folk custom Exhibition", "Jiang yongnv Book Exhibition" and "folk custom Exhibition" Yuchanyan ancient culture exhibition, Yongzhou national treasure exhibition, Yongzhou wooden plaque and stone carving art exhibition, Shun culture exhibition, 2-4 special exhibitions are held every year.
On May 17, 2013, Yongzhou museum was listed as "the first batch of national third level museums" by the State Administration of cultural relics
On January 24, 2017, Yongzhou museum was listed as "the fourth batch of patriotic education base in Hunan Province" by the Publicity Department of Hunan provincial Party committee

The main building of Yongzhou Museum has five floors, including four floors above ground, one floor underground and two floors of podium. There are four Pavilions in the museum, which are open to the public all the year round. They are mainly the cultural relics of Yongzhou, which are divided into "cultural relics museum", "bronze Ceramics Museum", "gold and silver jade Museum" and "Jiangyong women's Library". There are 16 pavilions in total, and the 16 pavilions are arranged in the south, West and North in turn; On the second floor in the East is a 104 meter long stele Gallery; the total area of the exhibition hall is 2194.8 square meters, and the exhibition line is 1280 meters. Each exhibition hall is equipped with two electronic surveillance cameras, fire and anti-theft alarm equipment, and emergency lighting.

Yongzhou Museum has four regular exhibitions, namely "Yongzhou national treasure exhibition", "Yongzhou Yao folk custom Exhibition", "Jiang yongnv Book Exhibition" and "Daoxian yuchanyan ancient culture exhibition". Yongzhou Yao folk custom exhibition mainly displays the ancient buildings and cultural relics with Yao characteristics.

The exhibition of Chen Shuxiang's life story is divided into three parts: firm belief, absolute loyalty and brilliant example. Through 171 pictures, 40 objects and the video of bloody battle on Xiangjiang River, the exhibition vividly shows Chen Shuxiang's heroic deeds in his short life of 29 years.

Yongzhou museum is a traditional Chinese courtyard building. The top wing corner of the main building is high, and the four corners of the podium are built with pavilions. The main entrance of the museum faces the street in the West. In front of the door, a pair of lions lie around. Under the eaves of the main building, there is a gold plaque of "Yongzhou Museum" inscribed by calligrapher Zhao Puchu. Stepping on the platform, you enter the gate of the antique fan and enter the preface hall of the museum. Just opposite the gate, there is a huge screen with the words "if you don't reach Xiaoxiang, you can't have poetry". Yongzhou Museum adopts the latest single glass cabinet with four side windows in the exhibition form of the collection, which makes the layout of the exhibition room full of changes and more convenient for the audience to watch.

Yongzhou Museum has more than 10000 pieces of cultural relics unearthed and collected from nine counties under the jurisdiction of Yongzhou City, including 17 national treasures. In order to facilitate people to understand and study the diversified regional culture and history of Yongzhou, 204 pieces (sets) of the city's cultural relics, 43 photos of 30 key cultural relics protection units at or above the provincial level, and large-scale landscape of Yongzhou's cultural relics are displayed There is one sand table model, and 53 works of women's calligraphy are exhibited. In the form of exhibition, the single glass cabinet with four windows is adopted, which is more convenient for the audience to watch.
Collection quality
Bronze mirrors with bamboo leaves and four mountain patterns in the Warring States Period
It was unearthed in yaoziling, Lingling district in 1992. Copper, grayish green. Mirror round, three string button, square button seat. According to the identification of cultural relic experts, it is a practical tool with a very smooth surface. The pattern is composed of ground pattern and main pattern. The ground pattern is bamboo leaf pattern. On the ground pattern, four groups of continuous petals extend outwards around the concave square. At the top of each group of petals, a long hammerlike leaf pattern is connected. The four groups of petals and long leaf pattern divide the mirror back into four areas. In each area, there is an inclined "mountain" character, and on the left of each "mountain" character, there is a petal. The petals of the whole mirror are connected by narrow pedicle pattern. This mirror represents the highest level of Chinese bronze mirror casting technology in the Western Han Dynasty.
Pottery kiln furniture with inscriptions of "Yongzhou officials" in Song Dynasty
The excavation of sandaoting kiln site in Lengshuitan area has the function of dating standard for the study of ancient pottery making technology, which confirms the prominent position of sandaoting kiln in Yongzhou. It is the best kiln site of Southern Dynasty found in Hunan so far. Its technology and craft level are very high, which provides material objects for the study of early celadon in Hunan Province, and finds a new way for the pottery making industry in Xiangjiang Lishui River Basin in Huguang area It's the source.
The woodcut board of gaoshanyao in Lingxian County of Hunan Province in the 53rd year of Kangxi reign of Qing Dynasty
In 2005, it was collected in Jingzhu Township, Lanshan county. It is the first woodcut printing plate found in China so far. In addition to the narrative, there are also Yao costumes, Yao production and entertainment scenes. It is of inestimable value to promote the study of Yao's history, culture and origin. At the same time, it also plays an important role in the study of the spread of engraving printing in Yongzhou Yao area.
Bronze mirror with half circle square pattern made by Panli in Eastern Han Dynasty
In the 1980s, in Shengli village, Dazhongqiao Township, Qiyang County, Lingling area, the wall was excavated by local villager Jiang Shaobao. The round mirror, which is only 14.5cm in diameter and 475g in weight, has been cleaned and found to be round with a semicircle button in the middle and its root system on a round base. Around the seat are decorated with human and animal patterns, and the edge of the mirror is decorated with thunder patterns. There are also 12 seals around immortals and beasts, each of which has an inscription. The contents are as follows: "Pan Li is the mirror, you refine the three merchants, Zhou engraves Wuji, matches Wanfang, baiyayu music, gods see Rong, Baiji coexists, the servant is lucky sheep, the God is blessed, the son is suitable for sun, the position is to Sangong, and the Division has a long life."
Cultural Activity
On October 16, 2018, sponsored by the State Administration of cultural relics, undertaken by the Chinese Academy of cultural heritage, and co sponsored by Yongzhou Museum, the 45 day "State Administration of cultural relics 2018 bronze relics protection and restoration technology training course" was held in Yongzhou Museum.
On January 29, 2019, the Yongzhou museum's activity of sending the exhibition into the unit culture and benefiting the people was launched in Lingling district government, which opened the prelude of the museum's activity of "our Chinese dream, Huxiang culture into thousands of families".
On February 22, 2019, the 21st Hunan Cultural Relics International Expo, sponsored by Hunan Provincial Department of culture and tourism and Hunan Provincial Bureau of cultural relics, and co sponsored by Hunan Cultural Relics headquarters, Hunan Cultural Relics Appraisal Center and Hunan Antique City, was held in Hunan Cultural Relics headquarters. At the opening ceremony, cultural relics collectors Zhou Xiaohua, Ma Minghua and Lu Yunquan donated 123 Warring States Bronze arrow clusters, one song dynasty multi angle altar and one Jiangyong women's book to Yongzhou Museum respectively.
